Hey Nick wow you are a huge star of inspiration. I am a young girl who has experienced being diagnosed with a rare kidney disease when i was 9. Since then i went through everything from renal biopsy procedures, high blood pressure, steriods, PRES syndrome, food restrictions, traumatic experiences like being in a coma at age 10. After becoming a teenager I started struggling with anxiety, nausea followed by disorientation, tremors, severe dizziness, nightmares, appetite loss and self harm cravings. It seemed to me like everyone only cared about my test results and appointments and that led me to become mentally disturbed. My family moved from Pakistan to Canada and it felt like i was experiencing two completely different worlds. I was born a muslim but when things got tough, i really thought I would attempt suicide. Still i have been trying to bare everything just for the sake of my moms well being. Your issues are more visible but that can be perceived as good or bad because my condition only affects me inside and because it is a chronic condition, it doesn't change overnight. Have you ever heard this phrase, "people look at you and they say you look fine, but on the inside you're not", this really felt like the story of my life. Your stories and other motivational speakers i have heard have really always reminded me how everyone of us struggles differently in their own way. They have proven to me that no matter what happens to us, we should always be grateful for what we do have.❤
