This entire time I thought closing was done some other way but basically took this as more flexion (like I do with irons) and the results are insane. Feels soo good to hit that long, straight draw!! Thanks

I have been watching many videos on releasing the club of late and some were very good but this is by far the best I have seen, so good Jonathan thanks so much. Have plenty to work on and cannot wait to try your drills. Think I will be watching this video a number of times :)

William , too bad he didn’t reply , I often wonder the same thing . I like what Hank Haney said in his book , in the backswing at 1/3 , you should have a third of the wrist cock , a 1/3 of the arm swing and a 1/3 of body pivot ,and so on ! He learned to teach from John Jacob’s , the best , R.I.P. ! John

Different advice out there for the wrists. Stack and tilt suggests that the left wrist stays flat/right wrist stays bent throughout the swing, with the club rehinging on the follow through. I have not tried bending the lead wrist while maintaining the right wrist bend as well.

Good explanation but you all be careful about getting your lead arm pinned across your chest in the rotation. It may not show up in your iron swing but with a longer driver it can cause your club to push out of plane and make your swing too steep.

I'm confused, are you saying the backswing would stop at what we see in 7:10-7:13? That looks like a terribly abbreviated backswing. Or, stop at 7:21?

Could you talk about what you’re doing with your feet? When you swing at 10:57, your back foot looks like it pushes off but then comes back down again. Thanks!

I've been on the fence about buying a Hackmotion for a little over a year, but keep getting bogged down on choosing a package. You touched on it in this video with forearm rotation, but I'd love to hear more detail - As a mid to high handicapper that's rapidly progressing, would you see value in having the radal/ulnar deviation + rotation numbers, or will extension/flexion likely be enough to get me 90% of the way to hitting consistently? I'm a tech junkie, but $500-$700 extra is a lot to justify only getting 2 extra measurables. I appreciate your honest input and I look forward to more videos on how you're using the device!

I so appreciate his information but I believe this is counter to what Hogan did as explained (and taught by Gregg McHatton). Worth further investigation, but essentially (the way I understand it) stopping anything during the swing is counter to obtaining full power and a consistent golf swing. Thank you again Jonathan.

In terms of weight shift, pressuring into the ground and posting and stretching up on the left/lead side, it seems as if this motion sequence acts like a door hinge allowing a door to correctly swing on its hinges. In the downswing, during transition, the shoulders remain closed and the right shoulder (and head) remain back, which allows the club head to be “thrown” through impact in the release. Please reply!

Sensei Kim! How do you keep fixing my golf swings??? After your video, I realized I was not downswinging my golf club at the end of the sequence but rather before all of the shoulders, chest and hips were ready! Can you teach in my country!? Do you have online live teachings?
