That's some cool stuff. We will definitely need to build a cage and do some more upgrades to my Wagoner before I go wheeling with you! Great video and keep up the good work.

This is a great trail, near as much fun as my old favorite, Pritchett. That Wagoneer is really cool and deserves some RCV front shafts !! Two of my friends and I ran Cliffhanger (and Pritchett) this spring in two 1950's Land Rovers and a WWII Willys MB, all on 31" tires (7.50x16" bias ply) We drove up every obstacle on both trails without winching or breakage, much to the surprise of the big rigs. Just old guys having fun! Please keep that CJ-7 a manual trans, so few still out on the trail !! Thanks for sharing 👍

@@jordantownsendracing5782 I've gone full circle, was running 35's in the mid 1990's, up to 38's by 2000, four-dees a little over 10 years later.... I'm having more fun now with limited, modest rigs than I've ever had.... I gotta earn each obstacle, and when I make it, it's so sweet, especially if a big guy just struggled or didn't make it. The young guns just wanna go straight for tons, huge wheelbase, four-dees , and links, without even leaning how to drive or properly build , prepare a RELIABLE rig... I like your style with the Waggy.. Just big enough to work great with the wheel base, but still modest size by todays standards, and still leaf springs. Keep it old school !! I'll be back at EJS next year, running Pritchett on 31's again !

Nice! perfect example of why I run .250" wall DOM tubes on my drive shafts. I literally powered sideways on my rear drive shaft at the top of axle hill on Pritchett when I ran it his year. Still runs perfectly at 3,000 RPM on the interstate. I drive my rig everywhere to and from trails, gotta be able to drive it 1,000 miles home !!

Yeah, my next one will be thick like that. I was thinking of also doing a 2 piece rear shaft so I can tuck it up more and protect the transfer case.

Driving 1k home after hard wheeling is IMPRESSIVE!
@timmcooper294

@@jordantownsendracing5782 For me personally, it's an integral part of the challenge. If I can build a rig that's reliable enough to wheel hard for a week at a time and still drive home on the interstate, I'm doing good. When out little group showed up on Pritchett this year, the guys in big rigs started hanging around o watch, they just couldn't believe what they were seeing HaHa ! Keep that Wagoneer mild, no links or four-dees. Just focus on reliability.... that's the single most important part of the equation.

What a great video guy's an girls an kids make the world go around. Not the most amazing looking vehicles. I like the looks of that Cherokee I had when I was younger just starting out in high school wish I would never gave the darn thing up. I'm interested to see where you go with this but I build.

See, if you hadn’t put a quiet exhaust on it, the bearing knock wouldn’t have been a worry. All would have been rainbows and ponies and you would still think you had a 401. And, when it eventually blew up, there would be such a mess you would have never noticed the 360 on the side of the block.

Surely you must be aware of the danger you're putting that child in doing this shit with them in the back, especially in THAT vehicle... it literally has no safety structure or features of any kind. FFS, it doesn't even have doors. This could probably be used against you in court, just an fyi.

@Mr-Bogs
@Mr-Bogs 6 ай бұрын
To be fair, none of those pillars aren't structural. They're only there hold up the soft top on a humvee. However, the door argument is stupid. A door wouldn't really do shit if it flipped, especially Humvee doors
