Hello. I have an aneurysm that measures up to 9.2 mm in diameter. The aneurysm neck is wide measuring approximately 6.6 mm in diameter. It is a Saccular berry aneurysm arising from the le supraclinoid segment of the distal internal carotid artery. I also have Chronic PTSD. I hope I find the strength to have the surgery to get it repaired. Sending love to you all.

I agree, rehabilitation is critical. Evie went home after an AVM and aneurysm tear. Then, the insurance would not want to approve inpatient rehab so we have home therapies.

52 know. Had an embolization procedure when I was in my 40s. Found out about my 8mm brain aneurysm initially through hearing loss. Called it an accidental berry brain aneurysm. So living with a coil in my brain to stem the blood flow. Would of rather never Found out. Lost friends through ruptured aneurysm. My head has never thought straight. Head injuries, anxiety depression etc etc. And know the fabulous MENAPAUSE. THIS ride is never ending and forever testing. To this day I'm overwhelmed with it. I've had no support with this or my hearing loss. But still I survive

This was a good video , although i still have some questions. Little history here ( skip if you want) at the beginning of this year , my sig. other of 22 years , had a dissected aorta . He was in a conna for 5 days , then he dies. I was extremely upset , hysterically crying every night and after one particulary bad night , i fell asleep for about 7 hours . When i woke up my right thigh, right breast plate and my right arm were numb. I figured i probably had a stroke so i went to the hospital. Come to find out not only was there a stroke , but it wasnt my first one. This is also when i found out that i have 2 aneurisims in my brain. 1 on my left , behind my ear and 1 on my right in the same position. The nurses at my hospital didnt even ask me what i wanted to do., which is good. They make all my appointments and everything . Well anyways my surgeon post poned me twice and then there was a problem with my insurance carrier. Now though everything is good to go but i havent called to reschedule after two weeks now. I was questioning everything , then this past Thrusday i got an extremely bad head ache and i could actually hear and feel how hard the blood was rushing in the back of my head. Plus , since that Thrusday i have thrown up absolutley everything ive ate and some of what ive drank. So now its Sunday night and i get very dizzy and almost faint just from standing up . Is this an emergancy situation? I dont want to keep bugging the hospital as ive been hospitalized twice since March , but ive been unable to eat since Thrusday. Im 66 years old and the loss of my boy friend literally devastatede and now im scared and really feeling alone and unsure . Please tell me ...what should i do?

I am a survivor of 6 brain aneurysms in 2022. Craniotomy performed and clipped aneurysms. Now I have 4 in my abdomen. 1-Splenic artery, 1-Gastroduodenal , 2 Hepatic and Celiac Artery ligament compression at 70%. Why do I have so many aneurysms? No family history at all. I’d appreciate a response and if I need surgery for my Celiac Artery compression surgery. I’m down to 94lbs, was 155lbs, constantly in stomach pain when I eat, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, gas. Help!!!!!

Thank you very much for this webinar! In term of 'blood pressure evaluation', would a person who normally has low blood pressure (90 range) to have high blood pressure if it is 120 range ? ie does not need to reach 130 to be considered high?

Please I need help. My left eye socket hurts and I have tension headaches that never stop. My equilibrium is awful. Doctors can’t find anything wrong. My dad had a brain aneurysm. My first symptom was June 12, 2024 when my forehead/skull felt weird. Next day my eye socket hurt and my eye bags filled with fluid. My symptoms continue to this day 8/12/2024 and no end in sight. My head MRI shows only a little fluid behind my left eye in the sinus/ear canal. Can this fluid be misdiagnosed and really is aneurysm? Where do I turn for help?

My mom ,77 age on hypertension medicine , who was our everything after my father's death due to cerebral haemorrhage 34 years ago . She suffered aSAH on june 21 st , taken to super speciality hospital in ambulance , on 24 th non invasive coiling surgery ,she lost consciousness after the surgery , stroked again , opened eyes for a second after 6 days, silent aapiration, spo2 decreased suddenly one day ,emergency icu, caught pnemonia patch , antibiotics , tracheostomy , breathing normal after that luckily, shifted back to hometown in icu ambulance on 14 th july hospital with minimum oxygen 2 litres, admitted for nursing care and rigourous physiotherapy, but wrongly admitted with 40 % mechanical ventilation , tjis is tge turning point to worsening. pleural effusion, edema, broncho pneumonia , septic shock etc ..lost the battle on 23 rd july . Was it necessary to undergo surgery when she was conscious talking after SAH . Conservative therapy is better ! Say no to hospitalisation for surgery __is the lesson i leant . Our body heals itself ..it knows!! Trust your body !!

One of my family members had her first ruptured aneurysm at age 77 some months back and she recovered very well from surgery, like nothing ever happened. They found a second one that wasn’t posing an issue at the time but her surgeon said she could be proactive and get it taken care as soon as she recovers and feels she is able to. Well, fast forward to just a couple of days ago. She had the second surgery but it didn’t go well. A significant error was made. We are being told it doesn’t look good. I believe in miracles but naturally speaking, is there any possibility that it can be turned around and she can recover?

I became a star in hiding my handicaps since I had a aneurysm rupture. The left me for five days. My ex and my doctor both let me down and shrug their shoulders. What I found out is that no one cares and better shut up about it and do my best to survive till death comes to take me.

Unruptured vascular aneurism can almost make the same effect as ruptured aneurysm, especially if it is located on the brain stem (pressure almost the same) and some times makes leg shivering. Is it possible to make endovascular bypass tube (inside the artery)to insulate aneurysm area, to make it shrink and possibly become normal again?

sorry for your loss. I was in my 30's when they accidentally found a brain aneurysm. If I wouldn't have had a MRI or CT scan, I would have never known about it till possibly too late. I wish it was a choice to have a brain scan once every 10 years, starting at age 15 or so. As a possible preventative to give people a chance for either treatment or watch it. ❤

Good news! Like you my aneurysms Diagnosis came out of the blue. I am healthy and active, til the largest of 3, burst open. Symptoms were all there. Paramedics transport to local hospital. No neurosurgeon on staff. Careflight to Ft Worth. Don’t remember much, immediate surgery, stent and coils in rupture one. 2 weeks in icu, 2 weeks in physical's therapy! Good news and bad news, Six mo later angiogram, rupture healed, other two have grown. I am so blessed have had a skilled medical team and to have survived! Still anxious at times. Next up MRA in March25 and possible surgery for other two. I listen to the Brain aneurysm foundation and it helps that I am not alone!

My first aneurysm got brust in 2020 so pterional craniotomy and microvascular clipping was done. To prevent brusting of my second aneurysm stent (flow divertor) was implanted in 2022 but after somedays it got blocked and gave me ischemic stroke. Now I have 2 clips in brain's left hemisphere &1 stent in brain's right hemisphere.

I tried to get a second opinion and they told me I would have to go to an outside place because it would be a conflict of interest to the other neurosurgeons in that group. I said a conflict of interest to who, their egos? The patient is the one who needs and deserves reassurance.

I am a 71 yr. old female with that being the only risk factor I have. My blood pressure is usually to the low side, and I don't smoke and never have. I don't drink much at all. I have a 6mm SHA aneurysm and a 2mm one too. These were discovered when I had a TIA stroke. I am scheduled for a cerebral angiogram next month.
