I wasn’t expecting that intro paired with that accident. Straight up spat my beer out in laughter, great vid and info.

Need some advice on which wheels to get for general riding? I was looking at the zipp 303s but now I’m thinking about some cheaper options

It’s for dwarves in its biggest size. The smallest foot and a narrowest tire overlap in the biggest size. So small frame built with a simple technique fair price is about $500. When it’s over $1k then it’s rather a scam (or all extra money went to youtubers, considering hundreds of “reviews”)

Thanks , as an occasional viewer, I found the story around the evolution of the channel super interesting. Building your own product / service , was definitely food for thought, particulary the bit about not needing lots of subscribers to do it. A great takeaway. Thanks !

Im no biker, but as a consumer in general, transparency is a big factor for me. If im told one thing about something, then find out (on my own or through others) that its something different, it pushes me away from that particular brand on everything they build. If its made a certain way, at least be honest and up front about it.

As always, there is no "right" crank length. It depends on the length of your legs, and also the amount of leverage you like. For example, I switched from 165 to 175 and I'm loving it! I got really long legs though, so I guess it's just the right size for me.

Thank you for that Cam, you do enough with Neill on the bike/technical/fitting side of things. Yt content is a lot like a Billy Connolly set, he tells a story, he goes on a tangent, gets another laugh, and sometimes he never goes back or refers to the original start to the story; sometimes he does. and either is fine :) Keep doing what you are doing, the Scottish winters are long, and we require entertainment (while you enjoy warm weather cycling and bikes). thx, m

We just thought you were f-ing off and leaning on the wife for income while riding your bike around. Joking. Most would agree, making a living is fraught with many challenges most who have tried have been through. Not easy. It is the love of those around us who provide emotional support that keep us on track. Best of luck and its ok if you don't make many youtube videos. GCN has you covered. 😉

Hi Cam. I met you on a coaching course in Brisbane back in the early days of your channel and move to Qld. It’s been great to watch your channel grow and also your personal growth as your business has transitioned through all of that. It’s great to see you still being authentic and I think that’s an important trait that viewers engage with. All the best

One great thing about the current situation is that you can get great deals on rim calipers! Got a set of Dura-Ace 9200's and they work even more smoothly than the Ultegra 8000's I was using. Wheels may be more of a problem. And those of us who have been around for a while realize how rim brakes kept incrementally improving over the years. Astonishingly better than the Weinman's and old style Campy's back in the early 1970's. When I first used some Ultegra 6600's I almost shot off the front of the bike they had so much more stopping power than I was used to.

Giant has a warranty on the paint. This is probably why the paint is much thicker than on other brands. Another reason is the paint job itself. Looks like it has some effect in it, this can only be done by doing multiple layers of paint and clear coat. I worked for Giant, sort of, my job was to sort out warranty claims of customers.
