I am thinking about making animation as my side career and when i first heard this song (3yrs ago) i had a great idea but no skill or idea what to do. You won't mind if I try my first animation on this song to see if I can actually take it to profesionalism (is that even a word?). Beginning bit is giving me some mild Aviators vibes. BTW I really feel like Discord's real origin and motives as a villain could've been explored more in the show. "God of Chaos" and "for his amusement/sustenance" were okay in the start. But seeing how he changed with Fluttershy's friendship, I think there's some deeper reason. Maybe he was first being silly to amuse other creatures, but they didn't care much about him beyond that. As he grew lonely, spiraled into depression and turned sour, he went mad. Bit like how Starlight was just a happy filly whose friend completely ignored her when he got his CM, or Tempest who was left out by the other children after her horn injury. I wonder if there are any fanfics or comics about that?

Ok, firstly, this is awesome. I love all the instrumentals, which never get appreciated for being there, but they always add so much. I definitely believe you that you put a lot of thought, effort and heart into this. I know that I can’t even appreciate it all since I know nothing about music or editing it, but it sounds great. Secondly, the singing. Whoever sang has awesome pipes. It originally kind of bothered me how most of the notes were around the same (without much inflection), particularly with Luna during the “back and forth”, but, after thinking about it, this gives a different take on what happened between the sisters, or *how* it happened. In this version (to me anyway) it seems like Luna is tired, maybe even numb. Like the years of being constantly ignored, constantly overlooked, constantly overshadowed by her sister, despite doing so much for Equestria, has finally worn on her and pushed her to her breaking point. In the song she said that she spent every night alone, which would take a toll on anyone overtime, never really having anybody to just talk to. Meanwhile the one person you’re supposed to be able to rely on is too busy to see you’re hurting. To me it seems that Luna (in this version of the story) isn’t really even passionate about taking over, that she doesn’t even have any drive; she’s just doing it because she can’t take another day with things the way they are and believes that this is the only way to change things. Anyways, that’s my take. Awesome job.
