Roundwounds for me. They obviously both have their place, (and it's certainly: personal preference) . . . Nice job with this. Enjoyed your tones & playing. oNe LovE from NYC

Cheers! Yeah in general terms for live playing I gravitate towards rounds most of the time, but in the studio the flats have a special something at times
@jonathanchevallier7046Күн бұрын
Very nice groove ! With the felt one, it is more discrete. It has a charm. In a mix I do prefer a standard I think. It depends of the type of strings you play, maybe.
@KlemensCathcartBassКүн бұрын
Yeah they both have their very individual vibes, and absolutely the string choice makes a big difference - with flatwounds I definitely gravitate more to the standard picks

Hi Mate. I've ordered one of these. How is the action out of the box? I have a US P that after numerous set-ups it is pretty hard to get a low action on it. Hoping with this one I can get it around 2mm.

Yeah they were - but also a lot of the character was from that prototype Quarter-pounder pickup. I’ve never heard/played one quite like it before or since

I grew up watching Kodak . Loved the theme song and learned to play bass. I think that bass line was ahead of it’s time. The creativity of some musicians are light years ahead of others. Nicely done Sir! 👏👏👏
