I would like someone in safety to verify this. I was told that you should stay in the vehicle. Additionally I was told that if a power line is down hop on one foot if you must get away. Please be safe out there
@HawaiianElectric7 жыл бұрын
Aloha John, Yes, the first step is to stay in your car. If a power line falls on your vehicle while you're driving, do not exit until you know for sure that the line is de-nergized. If you must evacuate, jump away and be sure to land with both feet together. Do not touch the vehicle while stepping on the ground, as this can create a path for electricity to run through you. Once you are out of your car, shuffle away to safety by keeping your feet together. Take small, shuffling steps until you're at least 35 feet away. Taking larger steps can also create a path for electricity to run through you.

An can we use all the credit or there is expiration?
@HawaiianElectric8 жыл бұрын
The credits are applied automatically. Depending on the program you are under (Net Energy Metering or Customer Grid Supply), the credits are handled differently.

There is no cash refund that is applied - only credits. Mahalo.

Hi, i live in hawaii and we are renting with a solar panel. But our landlord prohibit us to use aircondition, because she is worried that we can exceed using electric and she will pay more instead of saving. But Upon watching this video, we are -kw/h (98739) I have a question...do you think we can use aircondition and not go over?
@HawaiianElectric8 жыл бұрын
It really depends on your usage. If you'd like someone to go over your account with you, then please email your contact information to [email protected]. Mahalo

Hawaii has the largest amount of solar energy generation that is twenty times higher than the national average. To integrate this and other clean, renewable energy into our system, the grid needs to operate as a two-way system. The Hawaiian Electric Companies understand that rooftop photovoltaic (PV) is an important option for our customers. We proposed recommendations for new customer options and programs to support our commitment to continue increasing rooftop PV in a way that is safe, reliable and fair for all customers. Please read more: www.cleanenergyhawaii.tumblr.com.
