how is the vibration felt firstly between 75-90 kmph, 90-110 and 110-125 Is it at the same league as in many RE 350cc bikes like the hunter, meteor etc. Thanks

Hey Alistair, great video. Well presented. Would love that video on maintenance, if you could. Looking to get this bike. One question - at 5:02, I love the way the bike looks. Did you remove the back guard (don't know if that's what you call it) for service or maintenance? I would like to modify the bike to look like that and have the number plate attached just at end of back seat. I don't like the stock look of rear end with extended guard. Do you have any ideas or have you seen any videos regarding good modified looks? Thanks.

Awesome review! Best review of the Scrambler 400x I have found. Scenery is beautiful. For those of us that use standard measurements I have included conversions for all measurements in the video. Distance at review- 8000 KM = 4,970.97 miles Ride distance on longest ride - 2500 km = 1553.43 miles speed in 3rd gear without having to downshift - 20-30 kmph = 12-18 mph vibrations noticeable post - 120-130 kmph = 75-80 mph top speed driven - 160 kmph = 99.5 mph (damn Alistair!) idle cruising speed - 90-110 kmph = 56-68 mph Gas mileage max- 33 kmpl = 77.6 mpg city gas mileage - 27-28 kmpl = 63-65 mpg average gas milage - 30-31 kmpl = 70-72 mpg full tank range - 280-300 km = 174-186 miles Service cost - Rs. 4773 - US $57.01 (This is so wildly out of reason in the US I am not converting other currency amounts for the video.) Service lengths - 16,000 km = 9942 miles (Triumph rec.) 10,000 km = 6214 miles (Alistair rec)

Thank you for the review. I too own a Scrambler 400X, and have done my first 1,000 Km on it now. I love it. One thing I noticed though, is that at low speeds - anything below 40 Km/hr - the motorcycle exhibits some jerkiness. It doesn't matter which gear I am on. And this happens on perfectly flat, smooth road surfaces while keeping a steady throttle. It does not go smoothly, but rather continuous back-and-forth jerking, and the slower you go, the more noticeable it is. Is this normal? I am looking for feedback from people who own the bike. Is this a normal single-cylinder behavior, or is there something wrong with my bike? Thank you.

Good Video brother ❤ even i own a Scramb 400x i've recently completed 8k kms, did a long tour of 4 states nearly 2.7k kms in total i would say the bike didn't gave any single problem (touchwood) totally worth buying as u said there are some negative points we can cover it with after market accessories i toh use it as my daily commuters bike & on highways i get 30kmpl average 😅which is best according to my riding style thank You

Do take a proper test ride through different road conditions, that'll help you make the right decision. Always keep one leg on the gear and the leg near the back brake down. In case of turns or full stops. That way you control the stop and launch with front brake. Also offroad riding shoes and the high sole they have would make it easier. @@reubendk

would you recommend it for highway touring, windblast must be heavy right? noise in the ears must be annoying.
@alistair.3711 күн бұрын
Yes of course, it's perfect for highway crusing. Windblast is evident only post 110-120 kmph. Tbh in India we don't have highways that are safe to ride beyond 120 constantly. So it comes down to cruising at around 100-110 which is very comfortable on the Scrambler 400X

PLEASE NOTE: Due to a glitch I missed out on the Triumph Scrambler headlight review. Well the headlight is totally non existent. The stock headlight throw is very poor because of which I had to put on some temporary aux lights, although I will be upgrading to the Maddog Scout X lights soon.
@knackeredrovers7 күн бұрын
I agree, the headlight is very poor. I am hoping that a replacement or upgrade becomes available as I do not really want to have auxiliary lights. Another problem I find at night is that the instrument display is way too bright. It’s bad enough that a quick glance at it is enough to significantly reduce your night vision momentarily which is very disconcerting.
@mukeshnarayanan23436 күн бұрын
When I enquired for my scram400x for aux lights in triumph service center, they told they dont have any for this 400 series. "Even installing an aftermarket fog lights would void warranty" is the feedback given by the service center. Did you face this issue/
