Get the albums on original vinyl

In my opinion, these remixes sound much better remastered than the original remasters on the Perception box set that came out a few years earlier. I have both as well as the original mixes, and this newer collection sounds really fresh, with details not on the originals. It is great to hear a different perspective.

I've owned a fake and a real box. Both were presented as real. My fake box was sealed. The outer box had all the signs of a legimate box. Either the box was real or just an impressive fake. Do not buy a fake intentionally. You'll be incredibly dissapointed and may not be able to get a refund. The real box is a thing of beauty. Pure class and a lovely addition to any Beatles fans' collection.

I have every Doors cd ever made and I own all the original vinyl and I can tell you strange days cover looks exactly the same as my 1st pressing lp from 12/67. The LA Woman is different cause the first pressing was made with a window covered by a clear piece of plastic with their faces printed on the plastic. The ends we're also rounded on the jacket. The yellow background was from the paper sleeve inside the Jacket. Later pressing where square cardboard like your mini box set cover. The cd set you bought sounds exact like my original vinyl records. Technically those are just all the Morrison era studio albums. They made 3 without Jim, Other Voices & Full circle and their 9th and final studio album was called American Prayer which was the surviving Doors playing music to Jims recorded poetry. Also with the 6 Morrison albums was a greatest hits (13) and a live album Absolutely Live. Those 2 along with all six studio albums were the 8 records under contract with Electra records. Hey man, I know this video is several years old at this point but whatever its on a topic I care about and I just wanted ti thank you for your effort. I, like you, grew up on this album and rust in peace of course. And I, like you, were really let down by the messed up version.... maybe if this is what you're first exposed to, you recognise it as an awesome album and that's cool... I just know that the original is far superior and it really hurts to listen to the busted version. Thank you for the warning about the mofi version. I would have thought that it would be the original with exquisite super precision sound but alas.... Jack in the box pops up! Well, now I know I don't have to hunt that down and lose a fortune! PSBWB was REMIXED in 2004, remastered in 2011. AVOID the 2004 remix at all costs, they drastically changed the sound on that version.

I have the 25th Anniversary on cassette which has the original, remastered and the Randy Burns mixes all on one tape. It also came with a mini poster.

Later versions of the vinyl ( ie 45 Rpm ) had the Elektra butterfly tops and there were greener versions of the mustard labels as well

Hi. When one sees the price of this box, I cannot understand that one buys this box. By the way, this is not a bootleg, it is a counterfeit. A complete waste of money, at least in my opinion.

Hey, Sci Fi. Dave Mustaine did had assistants and he didn't Remaster the Remixed and Remastered versions of the classic Deth catalogue. That would be Tom Baker, but Dave is a producer on the remixes and he did co-mix the albums along with Ralph Patlan. Also, I kinda disagree with you about the Remixed & Remastered version of Countdown To Extinction. I don't think it's that drastically different, nor as bad as you make it out to be. I mean, there are differences like you said it's a little bit louder, the songs High Speed Dirt and Sweating Bullets have extended and restored intros, and the snare drum reverb effect has been alter and the drums themselves sit back a little in the mix now. But, the guitars, the bass guitar, and the vocals are little bit more prominent in the remix. And, I don't remember any of the guitar work in the remix, being different from the originals in anyway. Although, I still prefer the originals and I would highly recommend people to listen to the originals first, especially for Rust In Peace and Youthanasia. But, If you can't obtain any of the originals and you can only get the remixes. I would recommend Countdown... along with Killing Is My Business..., Peace Sells..., and So Far... . I think those are the best out of the Remixed and Remastered catalogue. Anyway, Sci Fi, I really enjoyed your video, and I hope you can make more soon. Also, here's an idea what you can compare next. You should compare or overview the Ozzy Osbourne albums, Blizzard of Oz, Diary of a Madman, and Bark At The Moon. Since Blizzard and Diary were partially re-recorded, and recent prints of Bark At The Moon have been remixed, in a undeclared manner.

Randy Burns was originally going to produce it, and they had pretty much got through producing the whole album with Randy Burns, but then Capital shifted things around and had Paul Lani produce it. Paul Lani later was also going to produce "So Far, So Good ...So What!", but Dave fired him. Chris Poland to this day prefers the Randy Burns mix of Peace Sells, which was never officially released up until, I think, the anniversary box set. :)

Looks like this was released after EMI was absorbed by Universal (Capitol, Virgin) and Warner (Parlophone) judging by UMe logo.

As far as i know it was a Europe release only and maybe australia. You can get them for around 50-100$ US. Depending on what condition it is in. Nothing special about it though, you can get the american release about 5-10$ a disc separately.

well I ordered the 2004 version by mistake and I had to reorder the original from another seller after that, wish I had watch this video before doing that cause I just lost the $6.00 I paid on ebay, seller refused to cancel my order for no reason, sadly have to give him a bad review. Now I will have to ask the shipping service people to get the 2004 version destroyed to avoid an extra shipping cost, so I won't get to hear it on CD but Im happy with the original, will pay the shipping cost for that one for sure cause I grew up with that CD as you said...so it will be a symphony of destruction when they destroy that 2004 CD lol ..Im sure that wasn't what Dave Mustaine had in mind when he had the "brilliant idea" to mess with a classic album

do you have all the Countdown to Extintion versions too? heard the remaster and remixed versions Mustaine did are kind of controversial, he even re recorded vocal and guitar parts and changed some of the songs intros and sound effects

This is a counterfeit NOT a bootleg. A bootleg is an unauthorized release containing music or a musical performance that has never been released to the public. A pirate disc contains released music packaged in a way in which no attempt is made to look like an officially released product such as this box. Thanks for the video.
