I’m thinking of applying shoe goo on my tennis shoes. The toe area of my shoe has shown considerable worn to the point that I can see the insoles. I hope I can extend the life of this pair which I’ve had for almost two seasons. Thanks for posting!

I wear 1080v13 in wide 2E size US 10 but it feels snug width wise and in vertical volume above toes too. What size should i get in morev5?

I’m having an issue with certain New Balance shoes, particularly the More V4 and 1080v13. The tongue is uncomfortable because a piece of fabric behind the seam (toward the toes) constantly rubs against the top of my foot. It's strange, but the More V5 doesn’t have this problem! I can’t understand how anyone can wear these two models, as that piece of fabric keeps pressing and rubbing against the foot. No other shoe brand seems to have this issue - in every other shoe, the fabric behind the seam at the end of the tongue is always neatly trimmed, regardless of the model. Can someone explain what’s going on? Check your More V4 or 1080v13 shoes - doesn’t it bother you? Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do? These two are by far the most comfortable shoes for me, but I can’t wear them because of this issue. I don’t have any problems with the Rebel V4, which I’m currently wearing.

Ran 400 miles in mine. Def need to use the runner's loop for heel slippage. Very durable and a solid daily runner.

I can't really run much anymore. Two meniscus surgeries. Lots of advanced arthritis for a 30 year old. I want something that has cushion to maybe take some of the shock absorbing out of my knees. Would you recommend these or is there something else you would recommend?

I had done less than 100 miles in my Vaporfly 2’s before the foam started to wear in one area at the back and the small rubber grip had started to pull away slightly. Just used some shoe goo to repair and hoping it will do the trick. Mine is a clear shoe goo which is definitely a plus if aesthetics mattered to the person using it.

Couldn’t stand the V4, it felt like a brick underfoot. Loved the invincible super soft and bouncy.

You should really try the NB Balos

I’ve had some bad luck with NB midsoles. 1080 v12 felt dead out of the box. Great for walking though. Rebel v4 feels like barely any cushion. More v4 took them to 20 miles and switched them to walking shoes cuz they felt dead and compressed way too much for me. Sucks cuz I wanna love NB since most of their shoes are offered in big sizes (I’m at 15 to 16 depending) and wides. Gonna try these out sooner or later..just hope to finally get something I love by them

I really wanted to love these shoes (fit, cushion, design) but they get extremely warm while running, to the point I wanted to take them off mid run. I tend to run a bit hot and live in SoCal, for context.

I’m glad NB has the the shoe drop at 4mm. Imagine it was 8-10mm, it would’ve been unstable.

At 100 miles a shoe should have no wear in my opinion doesn't matter how soft or hard it it. At that rate you'll be spending a ton of cash. Not me.

I’m in the market for a new shoe. My Gel Nimbus 25s are tired, but it doesn’t sound like the MoreV5 is the right shoe for me. Unfortunately, MoreV4 was too wide in the heel for me and 1080s felt too unstable due to softness. Even the Gel Nimbus has caused some heel issues. I’m looking for a better combo of soft and firm.

Great description, concise summation, excellent review. Maybe I missed it but could you speak to the traction of the shoe? Doesn't look 'traction' was a consideration in the tread design at all.

I like the shoe but I had to go up half a size. I agree it feels a little more stable than the 1080v13. Supposedly, the stability issue is addressed in v14. 10/10 release.

I would say the v4 was hot, not very versatile, and not very durable. Seems like the foam was really only good miles 50 - 150ish then not so great after. I had Brooks Glycerin & Saucony Triumph 20 at the same time & preferred both of those for easy or long runs. The Triumph went 500 miles, Glycerin 350 (soft outsole), v4 only 300. I’m glad I found a pretty good deal on the v4. I would be pretty disappointed if I paid retail. Will not be trying the v5.
