There may not be enough weight on the tounge of that trailer for the tracks to get good grip and move, try adding a sand bag or two on tip of the ball hitch to that might help
@Alphamacaroon
@Alphamacaroon 2 ай бұрын
Yeah that might help, but I think the bigger issue was that the ground was wet and slippery that day. Will try again soon on a dry day and record the results.

I love thid idea, I think its to long, if you could shorten the frame you'd fix the turn radius. This is an outstanding idea, i wish i had the resources to build something like this.

The main thing no robot mower can do is trim a nice clean edge. But i think i would have guys lineing up to work for me if they could swap off driving this guy around while their truck mate string trims
@Alphamacaroon
@Alphamacaroon 4 ай бұрын
It's a great point, but it also gives me a great idea. I think it would be possible to use a machine vision camera to detect the edge of the lawn and keep it on track. I like to bevel edge my lawn with a string trimmer at a 45 degree angle- wouldn't be hard to attach a trimmer motor at a 45 degree angle on the frame... Something I may have to try...
@paulfrost8952
@paulfrost8952 4 ай бұрын
A robot strimmer is what you need for the trimming a nice neat edge!🤖

I use those mowers for my business and have done some work inventing a small walk behind boom sprayer. This would be a good set up for that as well. Spraying fertilizer and weeds remotely. I just want to know how much the WALL-E that you bolted to the back is?

The die/mandrel is triangular shaped, so they come off as a twisted triangular shape, not circular (like a spring).

Sure thing! Happy to take another video with more details, but here's the basic gist. The switches come from Nu Vintage: newvintageusallc.mybigcommerce.com/toggle-panel-performance-w-guards-white-led/ . Mounting bezels are custom cut and routed from plate aluminum. The fuse panel is made up of individual panel mount resettable fuses (typically seen in airplanes and boats)- purchased from Grainger. Gauges and the rest of the switches are standard from Factory Five. Dash upholstery was sewn by a local shop where I live.
