Please correct me if I'm wrong: I noticed one incorrect explanation: the circle on the paper is visible in 3D plane because it is not covered with anything on top. It can be assumed to be the top view of a box containing a ball and the top of the box is open. In a similar way the sphere in the box in a 3D plane will not be visible in 4D while all the sides of the box can be seen at once. Also what is the shadow of the cube falling on in 4D plane and how would light look like in 4D?

Pi in the thumbnail looks to be backwards, as such it's fair to say that he waited 1.3 years for it to print out, reverse to the other end and make it look nice

3:25, 4th-dimensional beings cannot see every side of a 3d shape. In fact, they cannot see any sides of a 3d shape. This is because those in the 4th cannot see 2 dimensional surfaces as they don’t have any depth, only length & width. Much like we, as 3d creatures, cannot see 1 dimensional surfaces as they do not have any width, only length. So essentially, if you, a 3-dimensional being, were to look at an unscrambled rubix cube, you would be able to count six different colours across six 2d surfaces. If a 4-dimensional being were to look at the same unscrambled rubix cube, it would appear as one, single-coloured surface (it could appear purple for all we know). Much like we don’t know what colour a square’s edge is to a 2-dimensional being, those in the 4th dimension won’t know what colour a cube’s face is to us 3-dimensional beings.

also add these theories are wrong btw, imagine a 2d being thinking up a 3d object (it couldnt fathom it, and so how could we in 3d think up a true 4d object?) if a 4d being existed, it could see all sides of us and inside? then why cant we see inside a 2d object, sure we see its sides but not INSIDE. there are some ideas here that are nice and all but no person can clearly explain what we will never experience.

Interesting retro project. I experimented with Boolean logic, using relays, when I was in High school; circa 1966. There were no books in the library on the subject so I developed my own notation. I wanted to build a TIC-TAC-TOE playing machine with relays. I worked out all the possible games and the machine's best moves. My design was a sequential finite state machine. There is a lot of symettry in TIC-TAC-TOE, so I built a symettry translator, with a motorized wafer switch. I was not abke to get eniugh relays for the project, but my high school principle and I went on several great field trips. That year, while visiting a local college for a wrestling meet, I met a fellow who was using an IBM computer. I showed me the printout of PI that spanned over 10 large pages. That was the first time I had seen a computer.

Hey man, really liked your video. Good explanation ;) . However, I won't go without stating a recommendation here, though. A user named Mashpoe developed a Minecraft-type game "in 4D". His explanation of how a 2D being sees a 3D world (and consequently how a 3D being could see a 4D world) is marvelous. I recommend you to check it out. We see a 3D representation of the world but, just like a 2D world can fit inside a 3D world, a 3D world fits inside a 4D one and we can use a power to rotate our perception of the world, drastically changing the landscape. What an awesome concept!
