For ⅓ of the price, Harbeth, without any hesitation. However, I was able to compare Harbeth Super HL5 Plus with Focal Sopra 1, and I just ordered a pair of Focal Sopra 1 for the same price (special offer). They sound even clearer, according to me.

It looks like he's using the Pass integrated as the preamp. I'm not 100% certain on that, but it's my guess that's what's going on here

Sounds amazing... The Scalas are great speakers, in fact I prefer them to the bigger models. And did you have a preference between the Audio Research & Accuphase preamps? Both are very nice pieces. Cheers🍻

Accuphase pre is more transient response , sounds more aggressive. ARC pre is mild but still transparency enough . Both are good depends on what you listen . If you listen symphony, Piano i will go for Accuphase. Violin and Vocal Arc would be better choice...My personal opinion

I bet that my 802 Diamond with a McIntosh 452 is in no way inferior to this system in terms of sound. This one just costs ten times as much. that's all😅
