My first Texas concert was at The Town & Country Club in Kentish Town London in September 1989 & have been to see them many times to this day. This is the first time I realise there is a video for this 2nd Texas Album Mother's Heaven One of my favourite tracks . Mother's Heaven ...so under rated. Sharleen Spiteri is so "normal" and I understand she recently had to go through a experience which none of us even contemplate ..the loss of a parent. I remember one particular moment after a sell out performance in the Glasgow Hydro . Even though she was the Headline Act and obviously instantly recognised .. she was asking her Security Staff to make sure her Mum and her Dad were OK and on there way home.... For me ..that was something which a lot of people would dismiss as being nothing. But for me it is ... As her biggest influence was Elvis.. there is a bigger picture .and how we should be grateful of your mum and dad are ok.

Yes, “Mother’s heaven” is a great album that is shamelessly forgotten even by the band themselves. It includes what could be my all-time favorite Texas song: “Beliefs”
