I work as a truck plumber in Dubai. If I were working on this truck, I would change the old cab and install the cab that is in the ground instead of falling and connecting the supported cab, tired.

Why all this trouble? Why didn’t you install the cabin as it is without knocking on the right side? Then move the old cabin’s items to the new cabin. The old cabin appears to be tired and has excess paint and putty.

The short nose caused the engine to fit tight and almost enter the cabin. the noise and heat of the engine bothering the driver. Not sure why Mercedes engineers design it this way!

The sandle mechanics...make it all look casual, compared to the paperwork, hourly rates and rules of the steel toed over regulated systems of the western world....Never ceases to amaze me how they just go about fixing, not writing things off..always enjoyable watching these guys methodically and without fuss...just getting it done. Safety concerns exist, however, that is a whole other story.

Everything looks easy when you know how to do it and these carftsmen do!

I am not German and I also know. this truck is actually an k 2624/40 and not a 1924. 1924 is a 4x2 truck; this one here is a 6x4. also this bonneted type truck was in production in many parts of the world until mid 90s. this one has a 6 ton front axle and 2x10 rear axle hence the 26. engine in both cases is an om355 inline 6 giving 240 hp hence the 24 in the name plate.
