Adding lemon juice (acidic) to baking powder (alkaline) just releases carbon dioxide, which does nothing to clean the patina from the bronze and you are left with a more or less neutral solution. Lemon juice or citric acid alone will clean the watch far more effectively and in half the time.

You would be doing a lot less work if you used more lemon juice and actually made it submergible. I don’t personally like the patina on mine. To me it takes away the brilliance of the Bronze case Tudor uses. And I have the 43mm version which is a steel bronze so it doesn’t turn green but I still don’t like it.

Swatch puts out a $50 watch and charges 260 for it. Then Swatch causes a marketing frenzy by not making enough. Then makes them completely unavailable to anyone that doesn't live in a huge city. Then sits back and watches all the scalpers and Ebay flippers rip people off. And YOU have a problem with YOUR morals. If Swatch really gave a damn about their customers, they could stop 90% of the price gouging and need for counterfeiting in a single announcement. The watch is not supposed to be limited. So take fully paid online PRE-ORDERS. If they want to bolster in-store traffic, like they said. Then make people pick up their pre-ordered watches in one of the thousands of Swatch stores they have all over the world. Not just a half-dozen "boutiques" in select big cities. Problem solved. But Swatch is enjoying this publicity. I find it odd that there is no shortage of decent quality knock-offs. I have three. Yet Swatch can't seem to get more than a few hundred out to the public at a time.
