Alcohol was his worst addiction but I met him near the end, he was sober but then started back on the H. Which probably contributed to his aneurysm/brain haemorrhage. He was svelte in the last couple years...

Hello Soraya, Edinburgh calling, never got to repair your guitar or say goodbye properly, hope you're well. A long time ago now, but you had this amazing guitar and I thought you and your sound were amazing too, glad there's some record online. maybe you'll see this out in the ether sometime, worth a shot. all the best!

I'd occasionally walk through the cemetary. It was a short-cut on my way to & from work at the Town Hall back in the 90's. You'd often see Tony 'The Don' walking in & around Stokey. He'd occassionally wander into The Jolly Butchers on the High Street for a drink on a Friday evening. Despite his impressive outward appearsnce, he was really quite a gentle and considerate soul. In the 10 years that I worked in Stokey, Tony always wore that same hat & coat, along with his large gold chain and his many gold rings. Quite the gentleman really. Thank you for making the film Marie, it brought-back so many of my memories of Stokey after all this time.

Tex & The Horseheads - ‘Lock Me Up’ (a.k.a. “Ice Cold Beer”) Lock me up and throw away the key, They tried to catch the very soul of me. So I ran through the mountains like a wild horse, The ground kissed my feet, while the stars steered my course, And I drank from the lakes of forbidden mysteries. But I'm not runnin' away... 'Cause I was never here to stay. It’s there where the mountains climb way past the clouds, And on that highest peak a castle lives. Well I roamed those rooms and let me tell you, they’re filled with nothing but enchanted gloom. I wanted to leave, but I had to stay. But I'm not runnin' away... 'Cause I was never here to stay. Well up from the sea came Isis and the twins, They sang such a song they started up the winds. So I ran back to the castle in fear, The court jester opened me an ice cold beer, But I sat through the follies of a spoiled king. But I'm not runnin' away... 'Cause I was never here to stay. Lock me up and throw away the key, They tried to catch the very soul of me. So I ran through the mountains like a wild horse, The ground kissed my feet while the stars steered my course, And I drank from the lakes of forbidden mysteries. I drank from the lakes of forbidden mysteries...

@@pabloimireiathey played in TVE in La Edad de Oro too , back when it was just the 2 TVE channels and autonomic ones....they were good bands playing on the public TV , in La edad de oro played lot of great underground bands Edit: tambn estaba "la bola de cristal" documentales muy interesantes en la 2 , noche temática , gazteak en ETB, os jóvenes o algo así en la tele gallega, no se como se llamarían en la tv catalana, pero eran mis preferidos de crío, un punk, un hippie, un "listo" y el "rarito" k iba de anarco pero era solo un poser😂😂 "Rick Mayal" se llamaba el actor luego hizo otro programa que tambn hecharon en la tv junto con el "punky" y otros programas muy buenos, creo que salir de la dictadura hacia mucho puesto que había muchas ganas de conocer todas estas movidas transgesoras que recién se podían ver por fin en España, saludos desde Bilbao 😉
