Glad that someone captured this, thanks! It’s nice to relive the moment. I was front row, right side for this show, and went backstage after. It was a memorable night. Christie Hynde was back stage chatting with the fill-in drummer.

*What a brilliant innovative and wonderful tribute band to 'Peter, Paul and Mary'. I'm sure they were gobsmacked and eternally flattered by Pixies. The spelling for the songs is pretty cool. I've always wondered how I could 'brake my body'*

Loved their first 3 albums then they got away from the elector-guitar psychedelia. Disappointing but it's their band and it's a free country. Loved "Be-In," "Fast Driving Rave Up," and many more but the lost me on the "Welcome to the Monkey House" album.

Fantastic, has been my fave swans live performance for years now. The segue into Sex, God, Sex is truly awe inspiring. There was a video concert up on You Tube of their set at a similar time, but cant find it. Anyone know where I could find it. Mandatory listening for any SWANS fan out there. Got my copy of this years ago from the old website on CDR. Wow!

Great memories of ditching high school to see this concert. Festival Hall was cooking that day. Asked my friend why he was shirtless as we walked out of there, "I vomited all over myself" 😅

Jarboe lays waste to 99% of all singers. Madonna? Liz Phair? lol almost all of her contemporaries seem like little cutout performers compared to her in this magical era of music.

I don't recognize many of these titles because this is such a blind spot for the band. But I recently heard the second title of Children of God + World of Skin, and that is such a different, interesting sound. Early 90s man! Along with the immortal Ten Songs for Another World, the misstep-laden Burning World, and the stuff that piled up right afterward to the first death of Swans... damn. They were busy, and pushing that early 90s gear very far in a lot of new directions. I hear grunge, and 90s metal, and even "alternative" sounds in here. Makes me wonder, who was seeing Swans and then got so inspired they formed a major mainstream band... Pearl Jam? Nirvana? Soundgarden?

I was there, this was the last, and truly, the greatest gig of the 20th century. Morrissey at the peak of his solo career. The 90’s were coming to an end, this was probably the greatest decade for rock and pop music. This live version of meat is murder is the best I’ve heard. Closing the gig with last night I dreamt that somebody loved me was just epic. What a gig, what an era. Thank you Morrissey. And thank you for sharing this gem.

Fantastic live show! It would be a priceless thing to be there, but I was 11 then... So I hit upon Swans only almost ten years later when they were just disbanding. Had to wait till 2010. Any ideas what "the unknown" track can be?

This is a great set. I've been looking for the particular live performance of "Sad Dark Eyes" for YEARS. I got it originally in, I think 2002? Then I lost it. Then I found just that song, and lost it again.... I think YT took it down or someone closed an account. In any case, THANK YOU! Quite the rare set. If I could get this legit, I'd be even happier.
