How do you get the military permission?
@rockys999
@rockys999 2 ай бұрын
Hi I'm traveling out of the country right now so I don't have access to all my resources. The actual crater lies within the air space boundary of the Bristol MOA. You can look online to find the email address of the public information officer, I think the 29 Palms Air Base controls this area, and send them an email asking for permission to fly over the crater on a specific day at a specific time for a specific length of time. They will let you know if it will be allowed. The area above the crater is constantly monitored for unauthorized flights of UAV's and even small aircraft. SO please request permission for flying prior to going there.

You can overcome your sins if you just have faith and turn to Jesus. What did he teach peter? He taught him to walk on walk and at first when he kept his sight set on him he didn't drown untill he looked down. The second he did that he lost his faith. Believing in Jesus the he can support him and and keep him above the water so that he could walk on it. Now look at this miracle once again God has made a beautiful statement he is saying if you have faith in me sons and daughters you can walk above the waters in your life not only that but move mountains. All glory and honor goes to Jesus Christ the father and the Holy Spirit.

nice video - curious, why computer voice?

HI, yes this is an AI voice. I don't have a very good voice for narration and I even have a slight stutter, even though I used to narrate my older videos because I didn't have any other option. I now use a new video editing software and it has the AI voice option, actually dozens of them including an American, English and Australian accent and male and female voices, and even some annunciation options, such as serious female, narrative female, charming female, etc. I find using the AI voice quickly creates narration and changes to the text is easy and doesn't require re-recording the whole narrative over and over again due to pausing and stuttering. Previously I would record a long narration and towards the end I would stutter and have to record (and sometime re-record) the whole narration.

I would have loved going to see this lake. I moved to what was Death Valley National Monument back in 1979. I saw Badwater Basin for the first time in my life. I lived there from February to October 1979 and from March to July 1981. I'd go back to Death Valley National Park if my health and legs were better, but I guess that ship has sailed, as I'm 70 years old now.

Hi Diane, thanks for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. If you are able to walk, even slowly, you can make it out there. Not sure where you are located right now (City, State), but if you're close you can definitely make a trip out there. This is a short lived once in a lifetime occurrence. The lake has lasted much longer than the park estimated. But it is disappearing fast due to its shallowness.

Hi thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right. One of the sites I researched stated something like "..the booming of the mill would echo all around the canyon." The mill ran 24 hours a day and the sound of ten 850 pound stamps continually pounding the rocks must have been pretty loud and continuous. I wondered if the mill workers wore any ear protection or just dealt with the deafening sound and possibly suffeedr hearing loss.

I only saw some "worn" trails on the near side of the crater, I don't recall seeing any other trails. Maybe that path is not well known and hence not well used to create an obvious trail. Regardless, it's still tough to get back up on the loose gravel. I admire your strength and stamina for hiking down and making it back up. I did think about going to the bottom, so I could get some cool video from the bottom, but the memory of those four friends struggling to get back up was prominent in my mind.

Be nice (if someone would invent) a personal helium dirigible, with solar powered propulsion for gently exploring into and around such geologies....just big enough to cary about 500 pounds (2 people+lunch+water+bagofweed)...have a couple ports for filling and recovering the helium/pump-up,vacuum pump-back down...perhaps a tuff 5000foot tether for emergency reeling it back in...anchored to a Tesla truck of course!

Warning: don't hike to the bottom of Ubehebe crater. Years ago a stoner friend and I were standing on the rim when he said "Let's hike to the bottom and smoke a joint". When we tried to hike back up we found the pumice was so loose it took literally 8 steps up to get up 1 step. Getting back up was an ordeal you don't want to experience.
@rockys999
@rockys999 6 ай бұрын
Your comment is very relevant. I visited this place a few years ago during the early summer months. There were four friends who descended to the bottom. It took them about 30 seconds to run/slide down to the bottom. Later we could see them struggling to get back to the top, specifically for the reason you mentioned. Every step up you take the pumice gravel gives way underfoot and you slide down 2/3rd of the step you just took. We saw them struggling about 1/2 way up, but then we had to leave. Not sure how long it took them to get back up but I'm sure they were exhausted.

If you are able to make it out to California and are planning on visiting Death Valley, make sure you allow for two or three days as there is a lot to see, specially if you are into hiking. The park is huge and you can spend a lot of time travelling from one spot to another specially during busy times. The parking lots at the attractions are not huge and get full early in the day during busy times, so plan accordingly. Hope you make it there and have a great time.

From ground level the rocks look like just a bunch of randomly placed rocks. It wasn't until I bought the drone over the area that the rock face became apparent. I think it was very clever to create this huge face that is only apparent from the air or from the rim.

@rockys999
@rockys999 7 ай бұрын
Doing some research shows that earlier the Spanish people helped the Navajo with farming and live stock rearing and trading. But towards the late 1700's there was frequent warfare between them, leading to a horrific one day battle when 117 Navajo were killed in a place now known as Massacre Cave. I guess during "better" times the Navajo painted conquistadors traveling through the canyon as a sign of good will.

The Navajo people know more about our past than they realize themselves. They make sand paintings with a message that is very old. Thousands of years old. These sand paintings refer to a recurring natural disaster that is caused by a celestial body. That recurring disaster creates a cycle of five civilizations. Four of them live only a few thousand years and then they are wiped out by the next natural disaster. One of the five lives much longer, becomes more numerous and educated. Many sand paintings refer to this cycle and they also show the orbit of that evil planet. We explain much more about that celestial body, planet 9, the recurring flood cycle and its timeline, the rebirth of civilizations and ancient high technology in the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". It shows abundant and convincing evidence both in text and many depictions. It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: planet 9 roest
