@@tianiortiz8529 oh see I feel the opposite usually! If it’s a shimmer it has to be DARK otherwise I just feel weird. I did pick up the bag with the blues this year though, because I don’t have many. Hoping they aren’t too pale 🤞 I could totally see you rocking a navy Smokey eye! Maybe pair it with a brown around the edges just to ground it? I think that’s what I did in my wearing blue eyeshadow tutorial and I really liked it!

Oh no!!! You could always pick them up on day 6 and get free mystery items OR on the day you get store credit? Then you’d have money to spend later on things you know you’d for sure use? But they do seem to usually have a few left for the next sale!

@@b_m9566 Great question! I rarely get any fallout from the mattes or the shimmers. That being said-if you load a brush up enough, anything will have fallout. But their formulas do very well!

@@b_m9566 SG hasn’t said what’s in them, that’s what makes it a mystery 😉 from the description on their IG post and previous bags I would expect it to be a mix of shadows, face items and potentially lips as well. Maybe with the new launches there might be a body care item? They’re a value of $60+ for the $35 price. The company did say that there will be crossover items in the light and deep version of each bag.

I completely agree with you-and since I have the Nomad palette I have a dreamy fall color story ready to be used. If the spring one is available on the 30% off day and I’m picking up a fragrance or something I MAY get it…but as I say that I KNOW I could probably dupe it. I need to sit down with my singles palettes and have an honest conversation with myself 🤣

@@KeepBeautyReal1 i’ve always wanted to get a mystery bag, but I need to know what’s in it so I always get nervous to get duplicates and such. And I have to be honest I’ve barely reached for the stuff I snagged last year. I just really need to go through my entire collection, but I’ve been procrastinated because it’s so much that I typically go through it little by little, but I need to go through each category and Declutter.

@@tianiortiz8529 I TOTALLY get that. In most mystery bags they’re usually shades exclusive to the sale (most likely to avoid people getting doubles). That being said, I’m sure some are similar to others available for purchase. I just always love the fun of it, BUT I think it’s best suited to people new to the brand-or at least people who can use a wide variety of options both in shades and product type. But I’m a sucker!!! 🤣

Even the lighter shades are more impactful. I absolutely love their shadows. They kind of remind me of ND especially the mattes

I’m glad you know your preferences well enough to steer clear of what you won’t use 🙌 building our own palettes with singles can a good creative outlet, anyhow! I have a few SG palettes that I really love, but I have definitely started taking a closer look at ALL palettes before I give in to buying something “new”.

@@StevenForditude for sure! I think I might actually get the dark option for that since I have some pale yellows and leaches from SG and Devinah. I could use some good deep oranges and yellows!

I decided to get all three since I’m passing on 3 of the palettes. I went through my collection to dupe out the palettes and of course I had a lot of adjacent shades, especially for the mattes. Not to say they are exact as Sg does a variety of undertones across similar shades.

I swatch both The Greatest Gift and Master Plan on my arm in this video so hopefully you can see the difference there? They are similar for sure. Different textures of course. I think I have Milkie Way in the palette so I'll check that today and leave another comment on those!

@@alishacuddy2473 no worries at all, I’m glad you asked! Btw I just threw up swatches of Master Plan and The Mielke Way on my IG stories in case that would be helpful. Temptalia’s shade has little flecks of sparkle that MP doesn’t have, and I think MP also has a slightly darker base, especially when it’s not in direct light.

Thank you so much, you're very kind. Those are GREAT questions. Both really work well as far as being long wear and resisting creasing, IMO. The RMS are less shiny/reflective than most of the Sydney Grace shades so automatically they will show less texture. That being said, I never feel like the SG are TOO much. There is one formula in a couple of their shades that has a larger mica fleck that I don't prefer (although I just looked at the site and I must not be the only one because it looks like most of those are gone. Star Struck and Destination Wedding are the only ones I for sure see with that texture). With both RMS and SG haven't had any problems putting them over or under powder shadows. In my recommendations video yesterday I put SG Master Plan on after buffing a light mauvey matte through my crease. Usually if I'm doing a cream on top of powders I like to use one brush to lay the product down and then another clean one to soften the edges (but I do that with powder shimmers too because I prefer a very blurred edge where shimmer meets matte). You can totally apply with your fingers if that's preferred. Hope that helps (sorry for the long response haha)

I'm torn on the Yellow whether to do light or dark...I like the dark yellow bag better and I usually like that theme in deeper shades. I really need to look at the overall range of the singles I have first before deciding I guess! If you end up getting some of the body items please let me know your thoughts when you get to try them! Oh my gosh what a good idea-to build custom palettes as gifts! I have found the swatches to be inconsistent in accuracy sometimes(more so the creams than anything)-and it looks like they don’t do as in depth of comparisons with newer shades like they used to. The older shades usually had a nice lineup of similar shades so you could see. I hope this surge in new products isn’t going to be a case of more things and less quality. 🤞 please let me know what you think of the bath and body items. I think the only thing I may grab is a fragrance…we will see.

@@KeepBeautyReal1 I am really picky about who I buy fragrance from. I have to import to Canada. Body products are safer. I’ll buy from fellow Fragheads a few clone houses, Fragrancenet and bonafide fragrance distributors and sample houses.

I think I’ll order a few 10ml fragrances next week and a few more cream shadows myself. I looked at the formulations on their hair and body products and the ingredients look amazing.

Yes they really are such a great brand!
