I had a very difficult time hearing much of this, but what i could hear was so good. I have to say that all 3 of you have excellent taste. First for the fact of how you all feel about my all time favorite band. You also each named one of my top 5 or 6 favorite songs, although there are so many awesome songs to choose from. "To Love Somebody", ( and my absolute favorite performance of that one was the one way back at the beginning when Maurice was playing the piano and leaned in toward the end with the passionate "aaahhhhooh noooonoono" addlib part) ( he never did that part again and I searched for him to do that again, he sounded so amazing, but he never did and I don't understand why.) "Fanny, Be Tender With My Heart" is another top 5 fave. "Run To Me" is another one, and yes there is nothing like their gorgeous 3 part harmony. Just beautiful Then" You Win Again" or "This is Where I Came In" is awesome But My favorite top 5 rounds off with.... "Man In The Middle" which made me cry when you said that it was a #1 hit in Turkey... In 2005 ... A Maurice masterpiece... After he had already left us 💔. I watched your "Decades"1960's and 1970's also which were excellent and I hope you will continue on through each new decade. I would also like to know where to purchase the first 2 books and also Mark spoke of a book in 2000 that I did not catch the name of but would like to know it and also how to order it. Thank you for your wonderful works. Although I do have to tell you that you made me cry again during the 1970's discussion when you spoke about Maurice. As a forever fan, I have observed so many articles, interviews, shows, ect. and there were quite a few things that I noticed that just broke my heart for Maurice when I saw them and I could see so many things that most likely contributed to his addiction but I had so much respect for him after I heard how he overcame and as far as I know came out strong and finished well.

WHAT ARE THE NAMED OF THESE AUTHORS? IS DAVID MAYER ONE OF THEM? IF HIS ONE OF THE AUTHOR PLS. DON'T BUY THEM BEC. HE ALWAYS MALIGNED THE GIBB BROTHERS IN THE BIOGRAPHY THAT HE HAS WRITTEN ABOUT THEM.

No David Meyer has nothing to do with the "Decades" books. The authors are Andrew Môn Hughes, Grant Walters, and Mark Crohan. Robin Gibb's son, Spencer Gibb, wrote forewords for both of the books that have been published so far, and Vince Melouney, The Bee Gees' guitarist in 1967/68 wrote a foreword to the 1960s book.

Thank you, gentlemen, it was great to hear your interesting answers about the Brothers Gibb. And of course, thank you for writing in such great detail about their catalog throughout the decades. I know fans everywhere are very grateful for all the hard work and research you put into the Decades series.

My favorite Bee Gees' song was mentioned, It Doesn't Matter Much to Me, the Tales from the Brothers Gibb version. I have several favorite albums Main Course (of course,) Mr. Natural, Spirits, Children of the World, but perhaps my all-time favorite is Living Eyes... every song is an elevated master class in songwriting and craft. In my opinion Living Eyes is the brother's most refined, mature, sophisticated work, and it pains me that it wasn't appreciated in its day but I think for true fans it's a diehard favorite.

Thank you for all the time, research, and effort you put into writing this important Indepth work on the brother's 60's catalog. Excellent work, gentlemen and very much appreciated by die hard Bee Gee's fans like myself.

I'm halfway through and all I've heard was a recount of the ups and downs of the Bee Gees' career in fairly broad strokes, all of which I was aware because I observed them as they happened. Oddly absent is any sense of Barry, Robin and Maurice as actual human beings. I'll come back at some point and watch the rest I suppose but I'm in no hurry.

Amazing discussion! I'm happy you guys briefly talked about how dark the Saturday Night Fever film is. I was so shocked by how dark it was when I first saw it last year lol. I understand now that the film was accurate and realistic in its portrayal of New York in the 1970s.

A pleasant report produced in a location conducive to this event. The Bee Gees Decades in the 60's and 70's are delicious, well-reviewed books. The fresh “Bragdy Cybi” beer seems to be smooth.

Well Vince and Colin pulled an Eric Clapton on Robin Gibb in the last concert of their 3rd album and he had them fired for pulling an Eric Clapton on him. He had them permanently fired from the Bee Gees and he never spoke to them again. That is because they played a Cream song when they were told not to. They didn't play on Odessa album and this incident is what broke up the Bee Gees for 2 years. Eric Clapton destroyed the Bee Gees twice.

Vince and Colin quite often conveniently overlooked ! I believe the Brothers Gibb would have struggled to get traction in the UK in the late 60s without Vince and Colin. While the Gibb brothers were great song writers and performers, they certainly needed the musicianship of Vince and Colin.

I totalement agree with the opinion from Bruce . I' ve always felt it's such a pity ! Maybe the 2 musicians Vince.M and Colin.P didn't want either to keep on planning in the Bee Gee's group . Maybe I suppose they've prefered their own solo individual career for each and both of them . Vince and Colin everytime I 've seen and heard the 3 B.G brothers performing in their unforgettable voices and talent , I've always thought "But what about Vince and Colin ?" So be sure ,you' ve NEVER been forgotten ! I like to admire the photos of you in the 60's when all of you where 5 , the whole Group in complète . I also enjoy look at the documentary with Jean Christophe Averty in 1968 concerning the album "IDEA"(my favorite one) ! Congratulations and Happy New Year from à fan Evelyne Osmont .

I recall hearing that the brothers had a falling out with Colin around '69? And that Vince left to pursue playing in a heavier style but it was an amicable departure and they stayed friends.
