Did you treat all of the metal with something after blasting it while you worked on it to prevent rust?
@BlueOvalRescue9 күн бұрын
No, but the climate here is very very dry. It needs a bit more body work and then I will condition it before spraying epoxy primer.
@MrTerrancegarcia9 күн бұрын
@BlueOvalRescue ok. That makes sense. I live in an extremely humid environment and won't be able to get away with that. Thanks for the awesome content. Looking forward to the next ones
@BlueOvalRescue8 күн бұрын
No worries, and I totally understand the treatment part. I lived in san diego for a long time, every car I stripped I had to epoxy prime immediately. I usually paid the blaster to prime it, it was a service they offered.

I am so sorry you lost your Aunt. It's taken a bit to feel any sort of normal. I had an old friend in town recently and we caught up and checked out Hot August Nights. It helped me significantly, enough to finish this video today. Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family

What did you use for frame paint?
@BlueOvalRescue15 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I originally used POR-15, but was unhappy with the results, for some reason it had many imperfections, little chunks of dried paint I'm assuming. I ended up having it blasted and now I am going to powder coat it once I get everything back together, making sure everything fits, then disassembling it again. Someday I might get my engine back from the machine shop....thats my hold up on the Blazer.

Thank you so much for reaching out. We laid Mom to rest on Friday, and that was a very somber experience. I am actually back in the shop today, and getting ready for some more changes coming up. Not quite sure I am in a good enough state of mind to put out a video, but life is getting to a new normal for us and I’ll get an update out soon. Thanks again bud, the kindness of strangers has been quite positive and very much appreciated.
