The tool bucket has been a game changer for me, especially as I've been working on the addition. It's just a five gallon pail with the cloth insert. So much easier than a toolbox. As long as you don't overfill it.

Overall I'm very happy with it. The depth gauge isn't super accurate, but that's not a huge deal because I'm not making crazy precision depth cuts. I was able to trim an eighth off of a cabinet panel while keeping the panel square, so that's about as accurate as I need it to realistically be.

Thanks for the opinion! I actually test tools as a job, and while you're right, the fuel is better, it's not THAT much better, particularly for the small scale applications that I use it for. Plenty of power to get my lawnmower blades off. For most people, the price upgrade isn't necessary. I got my set on sale for about half the price of what the equivalent FUEL set would have been.

Nice like the style. I partially cut in with a whole saw bit then use a step drill bit to make the imitation speaker cone then finish with sanding. Spraying inside speaker with Matt black looks great. Also funny when people think it’s a real speaker at first.

Yes! isn't ripping up the carpet satisfying? And definitely wear a mask! I ripped mine up when I moved into my new house Labor day weekend 3 years ago. The wife and I slept in the dining room for a few days. Make sure you screw down the plywood in the squeaky places, I only did that in the upstairs master bedroom and not the other two bedrooms. We soon found out that the squeaks from the other two bedrooms were so much worse when the warmer, weather came around. Now it sounds like elephants live in my two daughters rooms when they are walking around. GRRRRRRrrrrr! I should've known!!!! Anyway, hope you are feeling better, rest and shake that COVID.

For sure! It's definitely one of the jobs I like. We'd done it before in a previous house, and it's immensely satisfying. We'll have to rip up some more once construction is done and we get ready to put in the hardwoods. Good call on screwing down any loose pieces. We'll definitely have to do that before we put anything down.

0:33 - The filter should be cleaned a lot more often than once per year. Most window units have a filter reminder that will light when the unit has ran long enough that the filter should be cleaned.
@NineRingsWoodCraft
@NineRingsWoodCraft 11 ай бұрын
That is probably true. I feel like ignoring that light is a way of life though, haha. I will say, my AC unit has been in since June, and the change filter light hasn't come on yet, and I'll be taking it out in a month or so. So for my relatively short AC season, once a year seems about right.

Well, keep in mind we're a shared shop where there are 50-60 people who might use the tools in a given week. And the big resawing saws get WAY more sap and dust in them than the smaller saws. I only clean our little 9-inch once every 6 weeks or so because it doesn't get much use, and I clean my personal 10-inch about twice a year for the same reason. But yeah, if you've never cleaned it at all, might be worth giving it a little scrub. And definitely aligning the guide bearings and bars periodically is a good idea.
