So I wish this was a series, or an actual movie, because it's done so awesomely. But then, on the 10th viewing or so over the years, I started to wonder, was this a commentary on the US war in the middle east? The guerilla tactics used by the survivors, the general sand and dead land seen in the environment (I know it's greener country than just sand), and lastly, the oil-like technology and image of the creatures? Like is this being shown as a perspective of a Middle Eastern country seeing America destroy them? And Amir might be the prophet, their salvation? I mean, I just liked the idea of aliens messing us up since everyone seems to think aliens would be like E.T , but if you're going to make an effort to get here, you're damn well coming with intent for something. I just wonder if people way better versed in film and story might see the same things? I'm not from the US, just curious whether I was putting too much though into it.
