Ball could not get parts from China and discontinued this wonderful appliance. If you have one; lucky you! I just started a raspberry patch so I hope to have enough to can.

Can you make freezer jam or jelly
@kayharris6457 Жыл бұрын
The lid does not go on the pot until the sugar has been added. I love my jam and jelly pot also. I just got mine and have lots of batches of jam. Can not wait to make jelly in it.

If you put them in a small blender and tited the blender would you get a blend of shell and meat?then add your spices? Would the stomach take to that . I will never find out hope the chickens liked them. Good that someone lets us know it does not work Thank you. MNice roof on chicken coop .

I am a big fan of your videos as they are so informative. After watching your videos I started consuming raw pumpkin seeds from true elements. I have also started using it in different recipes and it turned out to be super yum.

A half pint is 8 oz, not 4

Maybe after you did the rolling pin, you should’ve just let them dry out and maybe the shell would’ve pulled away from the meat inside the seed.

Hi, thanks for the review, I bought it but I can’t stand the smell of plastic or burned teflon. Did u have that problem? When it gets very hot that smell over take the jam. I don’t want to return it if I can get rid off the smell.

Thanks. There are vids that claim this boiling and rolling DOES work, so thanks for clearing up that it does NOT.

I tried to steam eggs in a rice cooker with its own steamer basket that came with it. Tried it twice. 4 eggs and 3 eggs. Both times the eggs would crack and a little white oozes out and cooks and stays attacked to the shell. Among the 7 eggs only ONE didn't do that. What gives?
@scheivert5323 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. I use an instant pot now and use the pressure setting. 5 minutes pressure, 5 minutes natural release and then ice bath. Only a few crack. And I do about 12-18 at a time.

Thank you for this helpful video. I think you’ve sold it. I’ve made jam through the normal process but less so lately. It is a lot of work and time, and most of my equipment is taking up space. But I wasn’t sure whether this would be a gadget that would also take up space. Instead it looks like it would be in good use.

How much jam and jelly can you make at one time
@scheivert5323 жыл бұрын
I get 3 full jars and a partial. Half pint jars. If I'm doing multiple batches I save the 4th jar and add to it otherwise just stick it in the fridge and use right away.

Steaming them is not what makes them peel easy. It’s the ice bowl. My eggs peels the same way whether i boil or steam them.

Your review was helpful however I noticed you referred to your jars as half pint being 4 ounces. Actually the jars you are using in the video are half pint jars which are 8 ounces not 4. A pint is 16 ounces.

I've been steaming and have had several eggs peel in just one peel. Easiest to peel I've ever had. I would never go back to boiling..
