I've always gravitated toward German beer and never expected San Miguel to be a high end beer but I think its the best beer out there. Beautiful taste, zero metallic even when flat. Masses produced but 10/10 beer

I absolutely love Sapporo. I'd heard it was decent many years ago, but only recently got around to actually trying it and was surprised with how good it was. Not that I'd think Japanese can't make a good beer, it's just that while I do drink beer, i'm not necessarily a big beer lover, so I don't commonly come across new beers that I absolutely love. It's why I stuck to Guinness for so many years hardly branching out cuz it never disappointed. Not that Sapporo is anything like Guinness, but it's absolutely delicious!

I tried the nitro surge for a few weeks but went back to the normal draught cans as I think the extra cost of the cans is not worth it.

Great thats its avaliable on the perfect draft. I pick up a keg dor €28 even in 2024 and at less than €2.50 per 500ml thats pure class. Amazing this review was over 1 year ago and its one of the few thing's u can get chepaer now. Its 2.75€ a 500ml bottles in dunnes over here now

The first time i had this was on tap in a seafront pub about 2 years ago (way before it got mass-released into the supermarkets) and i thought it wasnt a bad pint. I personally think it got mass-released to compete with Madri after seeing the huge success of it. I think it tastes like a weak version of Sapporo. Out of Madri and this though, id choose Madri. madri actually has less flavour but theres just something so crushable about it🍺

These knock offs are actually getting insane, the can is boderline identical😂 Some of the knock-offs do make me laugh though, theyve done a Bombay Bad Boy Pot Noddle knock-off called Mumbai Mad Man😂😂😂

American viewer here. Thanks for another enthusiastic beer review. I’ve only been watching your reviews for about 6 months, but I think you do an incredible job. I live in the southern US (Arkansas) and around here it’s still regularly available at the bigger stores, but it’s not super popular. It’s a fantastic beer though and I drink it occasionally. Thanks for the review 🍻

A good beer which I enjoy. A slightly fake sweetness to it which I think might be a touch of brewers syrup. I would put Adnams Broadside ahead of it though as my favourite Strong Ale!

Hi Paul - i have been watching your channel on and off for a few years now and I have to say your beer reviews are my favourite (that Ive come across) on KZfaq - I have been drinking Paulaner (When I cant get Augustiner) for awhile now and will always remember my first keg - was quite hilarious that I had the keg in the freezer for about 35 min and finally the beer tasted perfect - its not the best but its ceratily one of them that we can get in the UK - cheers

Can’t agree more, 4/5 years ago I was on the same page…but then you get busy on your beer journeys. The 6.5% will put some off. I haven’t had it for a couple of years, got a 4 pack tonight I’m 2024 for £5.50 on a club card deal at Tesco’s. Don’t regret it one bit…still exactly the same, still the GOAT supermarket beers for me

It is world famous because of its drinkable and like me really do not like adjunct lagers, I do prefer German lagers, hop extract, use for stability, so the hops in time do not fade, leaving just malts, water and yeast, so I still will drink this than Budweiser, Coors and Miller

Pale straw color, clear. Two foam fingers with low retention. Very distinct cereal aroma. Sweet taste, very light cereal and metallic aftertaste. Watery body. Another super industrial Pale Lager.

Bugger me (not literally obviously) but replying twice in two days, wow (I shall need an extra couple of hours in bed tomorrow), your review is excellent as always (natch).......BUT the point I took from your vid is thst you paid £1.29 for the tallboy. Today, as part of the Euro 24 beer fest that Lidl are pitching, I paid £1.89 from Lidl in Wolverton (Milton Keynes, save you googling it), an increase of over 43%.............43 bloody % in 3 years. That is the real takeway my friend. 43 bloody %!!!!!

How did I miss this vid? Anyway, driving round Lewes earlier this week and traffic into the town was a mare. So I diverted from my intended visit to Harvey's and took the easier option, Beak. This is a brilliant beer and their flagbearer. Not a bad beer to lead with. It does remind me of Kokomo Weekend by Good Chemistry. Both great beers and fantastic breweries. Well reviewed natch.
