I lived in Atlanta for 10 painful years. Hated the city, but the airport really wasn't all that bad. the only thing that sucked was it's located south of the city and the traffic to get there can be absolutely dreadful. You have to take these speed trains to get to your flight, but they are fast and fairly easy to follow. One of the very few efficient things in Atlanta. It certainly beats the hell out of other big airports like Dulles, Orlando, O'Hare, etc.

As someone who originally hails from New Rochelle and has a father who retired from the local police force after a 27-year career, let me tell you: it is NOT anywhere near as sketchy as Sam and Opie insinuate it to be. Yes, its more urban quarters have some racial diversity, and all the "less desirable" societal issues that go with it, but to say it is a dingy place where one needs to constantly have eyes at the back of their head is asinine and reeks of a desperate radio bit.
