Worth noting that Chelsea didn't need a clinical striker, they just needed Nkunku to be fit again. Him and Palmer on each side of Jackson is essentially the Liverpool setup with Mane and Salah behind Firmino. It works just fine but it probably wouldn't if you traded Firmino for a Haaland type that doesn't do anything but score.

You betray yourselves by your ignorance. Firstly, Boehly hasn’t been involved with buying players for two years. Secondly - there is a strategy, you just don’t want to acknowledge it. Look at the table of money brought in - Chelsea’s Youth Academy has made more profit from player sales than most PL clubs. Chelsea’s men’s team leads that table by a long way, too.

No Lars lets get it right, none of you in the media wanted Felix to join Atleti, tv journalists proceeded to vent thier hatred of him being at Atleti when they wanted him at Barca or the PL. And people like Lars remain ignorant to the fact that he was instrumental in helping Atleti win La Liga. He had 3 good seasons unfortunately with injuries before the falling out with Simeone and he played brilliant football under Simeone, you just all hate Simeone.

Nobody wanted Felix to Atleti because Atleti under Simeone plays defensive football and Felix isn't really a hard-working defender who excels at counters, is he? And one consequence of this mismatch is that Felix never become the 100 million man that Atletico was hoping he'd become, and another is that Felix never really matured his ability on the ball to what you'd expect from a nearly 25 year old player. His finishing isn't really clinical, his dribbling looks amazing when it comes off but too often it doesn't, his through balls have the potential to be amazing but so far he just hasn't made that his weapon, and while his understanding of the play looks okay he's just too often a little bit too late moving the ball. For someone with a nearly Hazardly dislike of putting his back into the defensive work, his on the ball ability just isn't good enough to justify it. If he wants the luxuries of being a Hazard, an Aimar or a Riquelme, then he has to actually reach the ability such players had and then find a club willing to build around him.

It really feels like people didnt watch Sterling last year.. He might be a big name but he's just not that good? You can argue he should get in the squad ahead of Mudryk but other than that, the rest of the squad are different positions that we need cover for on the bench. He is also on 325k a week and if we can move him on, we absolutely should based on the ratio of his wages to his contribution.
