Title: Temperatures to use Content: Not a single fucking temperature ever mentioned! Don't waste your time people

Well I replaced the capacitor on my 2017 2009 MBP, I wasn’t able to fit it properly so I did a big ball of solder on each side it ended up working, the MacBook successfully turned on, after a little while I was downloading some apps on it, and I accidentally left it on my bed for a couple of minutes without macs fan control on, I picked up the laptop and turn the fans full blast to avoid any overheating, but even though the machine didn’t reach over 85 degrees C which is normal temp, all of a sudden it shuts down, I’m still unable to turn it on even after replacing the capacitor with another one.

A friend accidentally poured a sweet drink on my 12 year old 3rd gen. It continues to work but stops responding to touch. The buttons physically feel sticky when you move it. In fact, when I opened it up to clean it, the inside was covered in sweet ooze as well. Disassembly went fine, no problems, but in the process of disassembly, I should mention that my middle screen touch digitizer, bezel frame, broke. It was obviously very old, and no matter how much I tried to open it carefully, it still broke. How do you fix it, i.e. replace it? Is there a video, a manual on the WEB? It seems to use adhesive to attach it, and it looks simple, but I still want to learn how to do it sooner.

Hi! I have the same Retina 15 2012 MacBook Pro, it has the same problem, I tried to replace the ISL62882C with ISL62882, but it didn't work. Is there a possibility, that 62882 without "C" is not compatible? I looked through the datasheets, they are basically the same :(

Hello, it is June 16, 2024... I followed all your instructions and repaired a macbook pro mid 2010, I have had it operational since yesterday, working without problems... excellent information, thank you very much, and just as a piece of information, with I have installed OpenCore legacy patcher Sonoma 14.5, it is wonderful to see a 2010 mac running with macos 2024.

The lead free solder melt at 218 C. The tricky part is getting the board to that temperature. For tiny board 250 C is enough. For mobile board, it is 350 C. For large gaming boards it is 420 - 450 C. Sometimes a preheater is needed for large chips like CPU with 25/75 heat split where the lower heater rises the board temperature to 168 C and the top heater and rises the heat to 220 C. These numbers will work with hot air stations with internal blower turbine of 120L/min like Quick 700w or 1000w. Weaker hot air stations like 350w stations would work but only for smaller boards. The point is, these are numbers. Get yourself an Atten or Quick and start experimenting.

My charger gets really hot and burns me at the touch and hardly ever charges. When it does charge it gets abnormally hot and can cause damage to the skin. When it does charge it shows either a very dim Orange light or a bright green light what could this be??? I’ve been through way too many chargers and cleaned the contacts and still no charge?

Had my Kindle for years and years, and today the power button stopped working. I thought it had somehow bricked itself, but luckily not. It charged, it connected to my PC, the screen unlocked when I did so. Did a search, found this video, spent 20 minutes disassembling, cleaning, and the reassembling the device, and now it works. Here's to another 12 years!

The Home/Menu button of my Kindle Touch does not work. I can hear and feel the click, but it does nothing. Here’s what I did to reactivate my Home button. I surmised there was a buildup of crud in the switch mechanism that needed to be cleaned out. I chose 91% isopropyl alcohol because it was a high grade solvent that would mobilize the crud without leaving a residue or attacking the plastic. Don’t use plain rubbing alcohol because it has oils in the alcohol to facilitate “rubbing.” 1) Turn the unit off. 2) Take a napkin soaked in IPA and daub the raised portions, allowing a little to slip into the slots. 3) Before the IPA evaporates (and it will evaporate quickly!), work the button repeatedly. 4) Repeat as needed Each cleaning cycle, things got better and after three, operation was great - took 5 minutes for the whole thing!

Ok, so something happened that I see in this video. On the top, under the glue at the top is a green ribbon that connects points on the motherboard. Is that important? If it tears, will it prevent the surface from turning on?
