This game was great!! :) I actually played this with my mother yesterday because it was too rainy to go to the anual show that happens in Queensland. It was a great time! I was somehow able to figure out a consistant motion to get the dice game to work propperly. Sadly, I'm blind, so wasn't the best at any of the shooting minigames.

I play this game and I find it very difficult because when it tells you to sue the baby then it doesn’t really work baby screaming at us and when it tells you to burp the baby then you can do it by shaking the nun truck and remote, but then it tells you not to shake the baby

I definitely enjoyed this game a whole lot, and I definitely bought it when I found it at one of my local stores!

The thing about this game is that it IS fun for the time you play it, but I feel NES Remix 1 and 2 were better because they had more games to choose from, and you also feel a sense of accomplishment when you got the rainbow stars, too. But in any case, if you get the deluxe edition of Nintendo WC NES edition, that’s worth $60 with some pretty cool collectibles.

300th comment; I played Mad Dog McCree on the 3DS and it’s the only lightgun game that uses a touch screen to aim, and triggers to shoot outlaws.

I've learned my lesson on not buying a game that is tied to a service, because once that shuts down, the game is unplayable. And I don't often get around to playing such games anyway.

I'm not against the whole mini challage set up, and I agree that the challenges shouldn't be locked behind coins, they should be unlocked when you complete the previous one and just leave the coins for the icons or even gallery extras. One thing that does bother me in regards to the single player experience is the screen resolution. They should give the option to change the settings to that like having the ghost screen be smaller to make your screen bigger or some way minimize the sheer amount of empty space between the stats.

This game is pretty fun.

2:58-3:04 Actually, prior to about 1995 it was quite common for games to not mark where the player character is on the map, or even have no map at all. And even in the modern era you occasionally see games with no map, especially horror games and platformers. I got a good chuckle out of your commentary on the player character's sleeping in this game.

Added to wishlist now. I wasn't too sure at first given how people reacted to the trailers, but I may grab this if it's the right price. The soul jumping mechanic did catch my interest and I don't mind most of the objectives being optional for more customization options because that's actually the kind of incentive I can go for!

Great review! I agree with you on the map system and the gameplay. While I enjoy the Soul Jumping mechanic, I wasn’t a fan of music section and other activities like carving totems. The game has plenty of fluff before it gets to the good moments, and the map can make it more of a chore than its worth. I played it on Xbox Series S, and while it performed better, the game still had notable freezes and frame drops. It was especially notable in the combat sections, where the game would outright chug in frame-rate, and the game would outright crash after music sections, forcing me to play it over again. I overall enjoy the art style, aesthetic, story and Soul Jumping, but I still think its only worth it on a sale or as part of the Game Pass or PS Plus subscription.

Good review! I had forgotten about this game after seeing a trailer once, but even with the technical flubs, I think I'm gonna wishlist it! I'm not sure you still take suggestions, but if you do: may I suggest 'Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx'? It's a platformer/beat-'em-up based on a really popular (and in my opinion really good) kids tv-show. Reviews of the game are rare though, and I think having one out there could be very valuable.

I always hated how games like in Breath of the Wild's annoying climbing sections or weapon mechanics. Those need to make things complicated for the sake of realism, like the sailing in this game you mentioned. If I wanted realism, I would just go outside and do those myself.
