Ofcourse! If the cannister is sealed properly and it's a high quality product, the pressure inside wont disappear

Just did this hike this weekend and stayed the night at the falls it was very difficult because the crazy amount of water and rain and the overgrowth! Very hard to find the trail at times and some spots were completely washed out so we had to climb the canyon walls worth it thou but be prepared and be careful one wrong step and it’s going take along long time to get rescued

That is awesome glad that you made it back safe. That was quite the storms that we have coming through so I’m sure it was very rough going. How are the roads up to the top of the canyon were the BLM ground is?

Can you carry a gun in a national park? Lol. "According to a study by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, bear spray was effective in deterring 92% of bear attacks on humans, while firearms were effective in deterring 67% of bear attacks. A study by the University of Calgary found that bear spray was effective in deterring 98% of grizzly bear attacks and 92% of black bear attacks. Another study by the University of Alaska found that people who used firearms to defend themselves against bear attacks had a slightly higher chance of injury than those who used bear spray."

Yes you can carry a gun in a national park and I had no idea they knew about every potential bear attack to get those numbers those are only reported attacks

My family homesteaded that property before it was sold to the state and designated as a WMA. Formerly known as Sea Lion Ranch. The formation you mentioned wanting to climb was know as Lookout Rock with Sea Lion Rock on the easterly boundary. There is a pioneer grave site near the end of the southeast canyon. The fire took away the last remnants of the homestead but this video brings back an abundance of memories.

Wow, very interesting history. Thank you for sharing that. It is a very fun place to explore. All kinds of nook and crannies to get into and the view is actually amazing even after the fire unfortunately☹️but the views are still amazing. Glad to spark the memories for you.

He wants the bear to know he is there, that way the bear won't feel like he is being sneaked up on. He is also in a jovial mood so with any luck the bear will just accept his presence rather than run away.
