The claim of seven Jewish couples that survived the ship wreck is more of a myth as you might not have anything to substantiate it. Secondly, one needs to be an Olympic grade swimmer to survive a sea storm. Lastly, the Jewish immigrants from India were under skilled and had very little to offer a fledgling country of Israel where not much English was spoken then. It was Hebrew or French. Most of the Jews from India came from the villages. The English they spoke was more Marathi than proper English. The Jews from India are probably converts from way back and please don't get me wrong as every Jew may have been a convert from way back. Nothing wrong.

He is making wrong reference as though landscape below punjab till kanyakumari as india, which is totally wrong, Hudu or hindush was regined by Xexers as per Bible, xexers reigned from hindu kush (ancient India) till Ethiopia, Today's Kerala on western coast was reigned by cheras that is not india, that was ancient tamil country. Anyone who reads the Bible can understand, that hindu kush was referred as indoi by greeks, just common sense required.

How sad it is !!!... you say Jews have been the most safe only in India, India welcomed you with open arms, you became successful and then you betrayed India during the 1857 mutiny against the British. The informant of the uprising was a Bene Israely !!!! Then you migrate to Israel and are treated badly perhaps like seconnd grade citizens, as recently as the gentleman's daughter getting mistreated by her second grade teacher. You proudly talk about your achievements in Israel, the land and the people who mistreated you and have put you in a place where you have to constantly prove your worth, but yet you call India a "poor" nation who could not have afforded to make defense deals with the mighty (I suppose) Israel. Very saddened to see this interview. FYI I am a proud Indian and a proud Chittapavan Brahman.
