Draining the oil out of the bottom cylinder to prevent hydraulic lock. Rotating the propeller 8 to 10 blades is usually enough to get most of the oil out of the cylinder. Screw the spark plug back in and go fly!

I'm concerned with how much I've been learning about airline emergency devices of late.. YT has been kinda berserk for a while now, but this is oddly specific.

Pilots have a different and larger supply of oxygen. The passenger supply is just a supplement to cover the time needed to desend to 10k feet.

100% is dangerous to breath right? But I guess in high altitude low pressure situation you won’t be breathing it in completely so if it’s supplying 20% it’s nowhere near enough?

Why the dramatic presentation? All you have to do is report the technical facts. No histrionics necessary.

Not really 100 percent pure though right? I'm pretty sure pure oxygen is toxic.

I want to go to A&P school. I'm 16 currently and graduate at 17. Can I go to an A&P school at 17? Also, could this be used to go to the marines as a fixed wing mechanic? I want to got there after A&P school. I'd love to get experience from there instead of starting off a small airline when marines have so many benefits. I want to do marines for 4 years, get a bachelors of business management (to get promoted faster) as im enlisted. Then when im 23 ill have an A&P, military benefits, A bachelors of businesses management, and 4 years experience. I wonder which employers wouldn't employ me if I have a stacked resume like that. Would all of that actually work though and could I manage all of that

Hey Dey Dey! It looks like you've put a lot of thought into this. Using our school as an example, you may be able to take some classes for concurrent enrollment to count for your college education. (Link: www.suu.edu/aviation/concurrent-enrollment.html ) Getting your AMT training with us takes about 18 months and grants you your Associate's degree, and the ability to test for your Airframe and Powerplant Certificates. If you're curious about our program, we recommend reaching out to us at [email protected] or 435-586-7862 As for your questions about the Marines, your best bet would be to speak to a recruiter about your plan. Generally, after finishing your service, you should be eligible for the G.I Bill that you could use to cover your education costs. Hope this helps!

If masks drop it means the cabin is not pressurized. Meaning little oxygen in the cabin and a very low fire risk.

And a good oxygen supply goes with the mask too

Do the military versions of helicopters have a shorter startup checklist? I'm thinking of the type they use for rapid response like SAR and those medical PJs.

Never had to do this, thank goodness, but always worried I’d pull and detach the mask from the pipe, they don’t look particularly strong.

@ETOOHUGO9 күн бұрын
I'm an aircraft mechanic and yes, there's this type, but there's more. Total of 3 types of passenger oxygen supply systems. The oldest and more used is bottle cylinders installed in cargo compartments that have supply lines to each passenger mask, second one are the chemically activated like the one in this video, and the third one and most modern, used for example in the dreamliner B787, are individual mini oxygen cylinders in each passenger overhead compartment.

They say to fasten your seatbelts so they can identify your body when your strapped in your seat but spread out over a field.
@Hitman12.8 күн бұрын
Or maybe... you are more likely to survive a plane crash if your actually strapped to the thing that is about to go from 200mph to 0 while hitting the ground.
