I was in middle school during that 3 year run the cats had in 96 97 98. I loved the '98 title team, such great memories and it wasn't expected. They just kept coming after you on offense and defense.

I think we lost 1 game in the regular season that year and maybe we lost the SEC Championship game I’m not sure. But this was by far the best college team I have ever seen to this day.

Until I see someone better, I'll maintain that that is the greatest college basketball team in history. Just an absolutely DEVASTATING machine.

That was best coaching season I've ever seen. Tubby outcoached everyone at the tourneys. Team never quit, and still to this day. Greatest coaching season I've ever saw. Tubby was a genius in those games, he knew they wouldn't quit, and his subbing was best ever, look how many kids he moved around at times. Look how he played mills.. Evan's, magloire, saw, he constantly was moving pieces. Teams couldn't adjust. I watched a team, on defense, that had more steals for dunks than ever before. They were so in tune, with their i.q. I was 9 Years old and still 1 of my fondest UK seasons ever. I remember my neighbor won a Duke hat out of 1 of the game with the claw that grabs stuff. Held onto it for the right time and we poured gas on it and burned it before the Elie 8 game. Remember feelin sick like it was over at half time. I believe they were up by almost 30 at 1 point in the first half too. What a team and played gr8 as 1 unit with needed contributions from everyone, even guys like evans, mills, magloire comin off the bench knew they're role and executed.

It's cool, because he went to Louisville and didn't do jack shit. Yeah he won them a national title, but wasn't it stripped because he was a crook? That's right it was.

They couldn’t get grass stains off of Dave Ragone’s pants. He never wore the same pair that season. Stains were implanted on his ass.

Though it was ricks team, Tubby still earned that title. Deservedly so tubby is great man.

This wasn't the most talented Kentucky team to ever win the title by any means. But, this team had great chemistry, they played well together as a unit, and no matter what the deficit may have been they fell behind by they always played like they knew a run would come at some point that would put them right back in the game with a chance to win. How many Duke teams during March Madness that made it the point they did in 1998 (Elite 8) or beyond can anyone ever remember blow a 17-point lead with 9-1/2 minutes left under Coach K in a game of that magnitude? I can't remember one. GO CATS!!

Beating that great Duke team to get to the final four was almost as good as it gets and it eased the pain of 1992.
