Nice video Shaun and it looks like you had a good visit. Good to also hear you had a Kingfisher, I've not had one down there this year yet. The bird you thought was a juvenile Knot, is actually a juvenile Redshank, the bill and legs are too long. If you ever fancy meeting up, give me a shout.

Hi Shaun, nice video! A few of the waders you saw were Greenshank and Green Sandpiper and not Lesser Yellowlegs and Common Sandpiper. The former have Yellowlegs and not green in colour and your Sandpiper feeding on its own was a Green. Common Sandpiper has a shorter bill and a brown mantle not dark green. If you ever fancy a wander to look at waders I live on the south bank of the Humber and my local patch is at East Halton. I've got a channel on here, so drop me a message if you fancy a wander.

Reserve added to top of my list! I live in Donny so easily get to Far Ings and the Viking Way but never been here. Sounds quite extensive. Very well-crafted vid. Love the Humber Estuary.

Anecdotally it seems like swallows are here in huge numbers this year! There was a half dozen or more flitting about over my head at work earlier today. A medium sized factory in the middle of a housing estate in Staffordshire.
