I appreciate the look of staghorn ferns, but they look so much better mounted on cork than a chunk of wood. Im so jealous of your entire plant collection and your particular aesthetic.

Agree on the common snake plant. I recently bought a Moonshine & put it in a southwest style pot & it looks great. I really like anything that’s silvery.

I love the look of moss poles after algae covers the surface. I find them easy to maintain, but they’re not for everyone. The other benefit to top dressing is it holds the moisture in therefore, you can wait several more days before watering. I’m working on that now. Your plants look beautiful!

It's nice, but nearly everything in Japan is pointlessly overdone & overpriced.

Beautiful vlog! It’s inspiring me to record when I go to Mexico with my family 🥰 also at 10:37 I recommended putting the bottle at the nape of your neck it’s a spot of your body that regulates body temperature so if the area is cool then the rest of your body will feel cooler, try it out!

I know it's probably too late since the video is 2 years old, but you could have a little umbrella for your string of pearls?

My family has been growing sundews for years. With moss, even if you forget to water for a couple days or a week, the sundew will live. It’s weirdly forgiving! The only reason my previous one died was since it’s pot broke. I just got another. Thanks for the live moss tip!

Remember those cheap incandescent grow lights back in the day lo. From incandescent to compact fluorescent to high intensity to cob to Samsung full spectrum Evo Led panels. I love plants

I lived in Kumamoto Japan for 7 years. I only moved back to the US in September of last year. I didn’t start getting into plants until recently. I wish I had been able to explore different nurseries in Japan too 😩
