The thing I don't understand is the Fingerprint sensor. Other videos show placing the two sides close together & it appears they are connecting the connector (for want of the correct word) on the opposite side from the fingerprint apparatus that is on the same side as the two lenses.

I especially loved it when you jumped over the battery removal process

Galaxy A3 2017 is one of the most strongest and durable phone I ever had. It got dropped on water, sand, even dirty flood several times, don't ask me how it got dropped on floor even at asphalt. Recently its native screen got cracked *but nonetheless it's still function normally* . Even in 2024, it can still be used to browse and watch youtube videos using chrome, download tons of images and even video editing.

The most unnecessarily complicated and retarded smartphone design I have ever seen. Just by disassembling it you can damage like 5-10 components. I'm curious how the f*ck they came up with those tapes and attaching a tape to a battery that you need to heat up to remove, dear god! I got training for the M8 at our repair center where I used to work. At the end of the 2 day training I quickly asked my manager to send me back to Samsung. I never in my life want to touch this phone again. Just compare that with the Galaxy S4 from the same era, takes you 4 minutes at most to completely disassemble and everything is modular so you can replace: camera, microphone, audio jack, usb port, battery, LCD, loudspeaker, earpiece etc. If you are a Smartphone giant how you don't think about maintenance and repair is beyond me. Just imagine how much money HTC lost on repairs: 1 technician could fix 20-25 S4s a day (in 8 hrs) vs M8s 5-8 phones a day. PS: No wonder HTC went down the drain after the M8. They made very premium looking phones, but in terms of repairability they messed it up big time!

I'm sure I won't know until I dig into it but my fire 7 works and just shows a shattered screen.. am I to understand that there is a two-part screen and the outer part comes off first and then the touch or digitizer is underneath and if so am I really just ordering a screen protector or am I ordering a two-piece set

After replacing battery, power button, volume up and cameras don’t work. I also replaced a very broken touch screen and there were a lot of glass shards. I have flushed out the connectors with iso and air. Power button was def working prior to the battery replacement. No visible damage to cable.

You should have mention what version is. Because there are 3 version. M8s, M8sn, M8su. There are big differences inside on the motherboard, charging port, display connector and antennas cables

Thank you so much. I dropped my tab on a hard surface for the first time recently. The back button and recent button quit working. Your video plus the battery replacement video instructed how to remove the back and plug the loose cable connector back in. Now that it's fixed, I'll be ordering a battery. Needs it.
