Restaurant prices have skyrocketed recently given that the minimum wage in California almost doubled in the past few months. I went to Burger King the other day for a quick meal. Got the standard Whooper meal deal. It used to cost about $12. It’s now $17! Crazy. Love Coronado. La Jolla is also very nice. There are a lot of great communities to visit that lie between San Diego and LA. (Your current Prime Minister owns an $11M condo in one of these beach communities. He has a second home just up the road in LA.) The Mexican Riviera cruise is very popular, which the Disney cruise was doing. They are pretty inexpensive from LA and SD, and offer a wide range of days. People rave about the Alaska cruises, but dress warmly for those. When booking a cruise from the US, just do your homework. Some cruise lines are basically booze cruises, and not in a good way. (Think Brits behaving badly in Ibiza, the Canary Islands, Turkey, then being on a ship with them for several days.) The good thing about the Alaska cruises is that the majority of passengers tend to be older, as in senior citizen, so are well behaved.

Thanks so much for watching! Yea we have noticed food prices even here in England have skyrocketed at places like McDonald’s, although ours has nothing to do with minimum wage being increased! We noticed the last time we went to San Francisco they were offering big wages to work at in ‘n’ out burger but then charging the extra to customers, as another tax 🙈 We managed to visit la Jolla briefly on our way to Anaheim, was a lovely place to watch the wildlife although Katie struggled a bit with the hills! Oh yes he does, it’s been mentioned a few times on the news lately! It looks like a lovely cruise to do, good to know that some cruise lines/routes are better than others! Can’t really go wrong with a Disney one 😂 definitely want to cruise from San Diego in the future!

Make sure to visit the Hotel Del Coronado and the beach it is on while in San Diego. From there you can see the Navy Seals training on the beach next to the Hotel. I used to live in San Diego for about 10 years. The Disney Grand Floridian Hotel is copied after the Hotel Del Coronado.

Thanks so much for watching! We loved it at the Hotel Del Coronado and over on Coronado island, such a good vibe over there! Made us feel so relaxed! Oh wow, we both said just how much we loved it in San Diego, we are not sure we would leave if we lived there 😂 Oh you can totally tell the grand Floridian is modelled on the outside, not so much the inside (it’s very dark in there)! We actually got to see an automated navy boat in action when we went whale watching! Very cool!

When traveling to/from LAX, you always have to give yourself extra time, as traffic is awful, and at all hours. The LA/San Diego part of the freeway can turn into one big parking lot as well, so another reason to not use estimated commute times. Sorry to hear the weather turned when you arrived, as San Diego has the best weather in the US. I’m anxious to see where you went to in SD. These last few months have brought heavy rains and severe flooding to California, which is unusual for us. I can’t be friends with people who don’t like B&BW.

We have definitely noticed that on the few times we have visited LAX, people always warn us how bad it can be! Thankfully once we got out of LA it was relatively plan sailing! The weather for the rest of our stay wasn’t as warm as anticipated, but it was still lovely, especially for us brits! Quite a few people we spoke to mentioned the weather! But we absolutely loved our time there, it is one of our favourite cities that we have visited! Haha well then you and Katie can be best of friends 😂

Great vlog, looking forward to sharing your trip. Quick question how do you use your wallflowers as I’ve always looked at them but another vlogger said the plugs aren’t compatible in the UK. We go to Florida in September and it would be rude not to pay Bath & Body Works a visit 😂😂😂 xx

Thank you so much for watching! We have a wallflower with a uk plug that a friend got us from Dubai, but I think they could work from the US with a US-UK plug adapter. Ooo have the best time! And enjoy all the Bath and Body Works!

Thank you so much for watching! I am not sure if the offer values are the same for every flight, but we have been successful twice putting in offers that are around £30-60 above the minimum offer value, although both times there was good availability in Upper, which helps.

We used budget for our car hire, but we booked through a website called Discount Hawaii Car Rental, which was cheaper than booking direct, but worth doing a cross check on prices to make sure that is the case. This website is recommended by the Hawaii Vacation Guide, a website run by a local Maui couple who also have a KZfaq channel full of great tips on the best things to do.

Thanks so much for watching! When we visited the hotel it was still in a phased reopening stage following Covid, so there wasn’t much in the way of activities! However I am almost certain there are daily activities as there was at the dreams (their sister hotel), but would be worth checking the hotel website!

Aww your niece and nephew are so cute. They were both so excited . Love watching little ones react to the characters, makes my heart melt . We took my 6 year old granddaughter last year and belle came out from backstage and blew her a kiss , we got it on video . Priceless !

We really loved seeing their faces on this trip, we knew they would love it, but was so lovely seeing the magic through their eyes! It really was soo magical seeing those interactions! The characters are always soo good with children and the little interactions really do make a difference!

Thanks for watching! We were there on a Sunday! The vip passes we were gifted were equivalent to fast track for all rides. The ultimate package (VIP platinum experience) includes a lot more but is very pricey (£399pp) and includes food, digital photos and more, including the VIP priority passes we had for the day.

Another great video. Going euro disney for the first time next week taking my nephew staying offsite at the explorers hotel for one night then going onto eurodisney for 2 nights staying at newport bay

So good to see the Premier Inn at T4, we’ve just booked it for a pre travel home stay in September. We fly out of T2 though so hopefully it’s not too difficult 🤣 So jealous you get to pop over to Venice for a weekend holiday!

It’s not too difficult, but recommend just getting the bus from the hotel to the terminal as the tube can be a bit of a faff! I know we are so lucky there are so many iconic tourist destinations within a few hours of home! We really enjoyed it there!

Thanks so much for watching! Honestly the beds at premier inn are normally really comfortable. However the bed we had this time was not as the mattress was sagging in the middle.
