I soak mine in a special wash and slice mine with an egg slicer. I just leave the tops on because I use them in tea form.

I've followed your recipe last night and made this banana bread. I'm not sure this is the quinoa flour or the flour's brand (I used Bob's red mill which is supposed to be a good brand, and I've ordered it freshly from i-herb last week) I had pretty bad nausea, headache and diarrhea after I ate some last night and today as well. I used to have quinoa from time to time and I was fine with it. And it's my 1st time to use quinoa flour tho, and I'm sure all the ingredients I've used are 100% fresh and clean cause they are all the same stuff I've used to eat (except this quinoa flour). I've done some research online it said it's possibly the saponin from the quinoa that causes these poisonous reactions. Anyway, the bread smells good, tastes still a bit bitter tho. I just wanted to share this experience to let other knows they need to make sure they are not allergic to quinoa flour before consuming it, or using coconut flour, almond flour it will still be a great recipe too.

You said it’s vegan but it has eggs ?! What do you substitute eggs for to make it vegan ?
@recipesworthrepeating3943 Жыл бұрын
I wrote that it can be made vegan by substituting 2 chia eggs (just 1 Tbsp chia seeds + 2.5 Tbsp water = a chia egg) for the eggs and added 3 tablespoons of applesauce.

I'm glad you love the recipe so much!! For muffins, bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes. Do the toothpick test in the middle at 18 minutes and increase the time as needed, checking every 2 minutes as needed.

Thus looks delicious! I'm planning to make it in a few days. I'm not sure I understand though. First it says to add in 1 cup of tomato sauce. Then later it says to add in the rest. How much is the rest? I didn't see an ingredient list. There seems to be one on the web site but I don't think it gives the quantities Thanks! 🙂
@recipesworthrepeating39432 жыл бұрын
Hi! Here is the ingredient list: 2 lbs 96% lean ground beef ▢3 garlic cloves, minced ▢1 onion, diced ▢1 15 ounce can tomato sauce, divided ▢1 cup water ▢1 can condensed tomato soup ▢1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained ▢1 teaspoon paprika ▢1 teaspoon salt ▢½ teaspoon thyme ▢¾ cup long grain white rice, uncooked ▢1 head cabbage ▢1 ½ cups Mozzarella cheese ▢⅓ cup water Here's the instructions: Brown beef, onion, garlic and seasonings over medium heat until no pink remains. Drain. Add 1 cup tomato sauce, 1 cup water and ½ can of tomato soup and diced tomatoes to the beef. Stir in rice, and mix well until heated through. Remove from heat. Chop cabbage into 4 wedges and remove core. Chop into chunks (Vicky’s were about ¾”x1.5″). Layer ½ of the meat mixture and ½ of the cabbage in the slow cooker. Repeat layers. Place half the meat and then half the cabbage in cooker. Combine the remaining tomato soup, remaining tomato sauce and ⅓ cup water. Pour over top of cabbage. Cook on low 4-6 hours or just until rice is cooked. Once done, turn Crock Pot off, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and let sit 10 minutes to set and melt cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. I hope that helps you! The website version of the recipe can be found here: recipesworthrepeating.com/crock-pot-cabbage-roll-casserole/

@@recipesworthrepeating3943 Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I will be making this in 2 days time and i am sure it will be delicious. It looks amazing. We love cabbage rolls in my family but I am new to crock pots, so still very much learning. The cheese looks like it will be a great addition and make it even better.
