Thanks! My John Deere ride on mower had sat for two years. I went to start it today and it felt like it was out of gas. I tried to start it several times, but no combustion happening. Then I found your video and I tapped on the "fuel solenoid" with my channel lock pliers, then attempted to start the mower, and wham it started right away!!! So it was obviously a stuck fuel solenoid due to bad gas, because it had sat so long (without being started). Thanks again. :)

Non ethanol gas… run your generator dry… add a little non ethanol gas, tru fuel or leaded race gas(it’s cheaper) and run it dry. If you made a mistake and had to store it wet, just drain all the fuel, get that race gas in it, tap the carb with a screwdriver or something to unseat that gummed up Jet and let er rip

How not to wrap threads. That is gonna bunch up and clear itself from the threads. Remember righty tighty lefty loosey.

“Once it touches its self, it’ll hold it” true for man, beast and apparently teflon tape.

The roll itself is backwards. Much easier the other way.

It’s not about “liking” to run the tape clockwise. It’s about wrapping in the direction that will not back off the threads. If the length runs in the tightening direction, it doesn’t back off the threads, even if loosely wrapped. Friction keeps in place The opposite direction of the wrap unravels the tape as the friction of the threads pushes it. I.e wrapping counter clockwise in this exact scenario is the wrong way: He just so happened to do it the right way with not the best explanation as to why.

Unrape it the other way that's way, it unwraps easier with more control and tighter!

And still does it incorrectly…..please do NOT believe these “Experts”

My security camera came with those. What is the exact purpose for those? I ended up just using the regular screws to mount them on the wooden wall without used those plastic thingies.

I did this. Replaced the fuel and the battery and it still wont start. Brand new too.

In my case it was everything 😅, mainly the problem was the fuel injectior was extremely clogged , came right out with a flat head and some cleaner , thanks for the help

Just leave a blob of caulk on the tip and smooth it around the tip. The caulk is a wait for it...sealer.

No no no…. Remove a half inch or more from the tip. Fill that void with Vaseline and then maybe put tape on. Next time you use it discard the gasoline that comes out. But tape alone is useless

I just toss partials unless there a use for it on the next month. Not worth the trouble
