Hey Felicia! I don’t consider myself strong per se but I am usually the one people confide in when it relates to intimate details about their life. However when I am dealing with something I often struggle with speaking my truth. Not sure if it’s because of fear or if I often feel like I’m the one that was wrong. Anywho, great video. I continue to journal because u help me start that. Thank you ❤️

Hi- what can I expect for the day to day responsibilities for this job? I have bachelors in psych and am looking to enlist in the Airforce. I'm wanting to be a licensed therapist and thought this would be a good foot in the door. Any advice?
@FeliciaNacole

Hey! It depends on if you get stationed at an inpatient vs outpatient unit (hospital vs clinic). On the inpatient side we worked Panama shifts (12 hrs rotating days/nights). On the outpatient side you typically work M-F (730-430). To me inpatient was more hands on and provided me a lot of opportunities to develop myself in the mental health world. Outpatient was nice too if you plan on going to an in person brick and mortar program for your masters. I got my Masters degree in psych while working inpatient. And actually used a lot of what I learned to develop my curriculum I taught on the unit. Either one I believe you would enjoy because you have the experience in the world of psychology /mental health already. Hope this helps. And best wishes on your journey! 🫶🏾

Hey love!! I didn’t catch this at the beginning of July, but one goal I had was to work on fixing up my office. I was going to work 30 min a day setting my office up. I bought supplies, but it hasn’t happened yet. Starting over. I will work on 30 min a week cleaning off my desk and make it more conducive to working. As always thanks for the encouragement.❤️

I love the goal!! And I also love that you decided to pivot when you felt the original goal may have been too much in the moment. As each day passes I begin to find the joy in the fact that we are able to adjust things to work for us at every step. I’m proud of you always! And I’m going to check in with you to see how your goal is going. You got this!! We got this! And we are in this together! ❤️

I am so glad that I found this video. My Mother passed away, June 6th 2024 in the home where we both live. She was 79 years old, I was her caregiver and worked from home, so we were always together. The day she passed was awful, she was fine in the morning, I checked up on her a throughout the day and later that afternoon I had to assist her into the washroom, I went to the linen closet to get a towel and facecloth to wipe her down and when I returned she was staring ahead, her eyes not blinking, could not feel her breathing or heart beat, I called 911, had to get her on the floor and start compressions. The paramedics showed up, took over and rushed her to the hospital. I gathered all my things and drove to the hospital, she was in critical care and never made it up to the ICU unit, they tried to revive her but her heart just was not strong enough and that's when my Mom passed. It's really hard to move forward, when she was all that I had and I cared for her everyday. I miss her so much and I'm trying to move through the process but it hurts so much and I feel so lonely. Listening to you, I feel that there is hope but right now I'm so lost and miss her terribly.

Just lost my mom Linda A Leonard due to breast cancer this year . Which she was in remission for 5 years . The first time she had it was 2018 . Actually her birthday week . Her Birhday is April 17 . I haven’t been able to process it all too well . My mom was big into Jesus and always talked about his return but still don’t see why she went at just 69 years old

Toxic Relationships = Guy don't want to commit to me. Aka Chad don't want me.
@FeliciaNacole
@FeliciaNacole 2 ай бұрын
Good example. Both men and women can pursue someone that may not want to commit to them. Also toxic relationships look different to different people. For example, it could also be one or two individuals with unhealthy/negative communication styles that cause more problems to eachother. Or for instance someone who is only used to drama but gets into a relationship with someone who has seen and shows healthy relationship qualities like support and building a life together. If the first person isn’t used to healthy relationships they can consciously or unconsciously create problems because they are used to chaos and drama. Thanks for watching.

I lost my dad suddenly back in March. It's been an extremely difficult last two months. He was going to turn 60 this year and I feel so beyond broken. I don't know how I can live without him. My brother and I just don't know how to go on with life. It feels very empty and void. I feel an abyss of darkness within me and I'm fighting to avoid falling deeper into it. But the more time goes on, I feel like I'm falling in further. I just want my daddy back 😢

Did you have your degree while enlisted? And if I want to enter into the Airforce doing something with mental health but want to be an officer should I get my masters in social work or go in with a bachelors ?
@FeliciaNacole
@FeliciaNacole 2 ай бұрын
Hey there! I did have my bachelors degrees when I enlisted. At that time (being younger lol) they weren’t accepting any officer packages and I didn’t want to wait. There’s a few different components that go into the officer test. If you only want to work in mental health and want to be an officer for sure pursue your Masters in Social Work. It is a direct commission. If you try to go the officer route with a bachelors you will have to choose another job. I would always advocate for others to try to go the officer route. Better quality of life. But I thoroughly enjoyed my job. And if you can’t get in officer go enlisted mental health and get your MSW then apply for a direct commission. Best of luck!!
