Where have you gone?

I have the new G87 M2. I also have an 2020 F90 M5. While I cannot compare it with the F87 M2, I can compare it with the M5 from a "how does it make you feel while driving" perspective. The G87 comes a close second IMO. The G87 is a fantastic car and would recommend to anyone to consider it as a daily driver. BTW, I also owned a F80 M3. It's so much better than the F80.

Which catted down pipes do you have as I have recently had my M2C tuned with hybrid turbos but having issues with not making expected power, We are not sure if it’s my high flow down pipes or something else causing my car to not like boost and timing corrections

I would like to add, that the reason for the CS good is NOT cooling!!! It is aero. To reduce the clogged air in the engine bay and therefore creating lower drag and better downforce due to the air flow…. A side effect is a slightly better cooling of the engine because the trapped hot air that went through the coolers can escape the engine bay faster and therefore allowing more fresh air through the coolers increasing also the cooling performance.

I could daily that and Date in it no problem.

Personally I prefer the black wheels

lol I believe the g87 was over 20 seconds quicker then the F87. I don’t think tyres would make that much difference lol I also own a g87 auto and drove a manual g87 and it felt very very slow compared to the auto. I owned a F87 and they were not that fast lol.

Would love a new G87 M2, sadly out of my price range. But saying that, I think I'd find it too 'modern', too comfortable, too easy to drive. My OG M2 pre LCI just feels so raw, and while not ultimately that fast, every drive does feel like a special occasion.

I did in mine - 30k miles. Waitrose regularly. Why buy it if you don’t enjoy it. People are only interested in residuals - these are not to be locked away to impress and never be driven.

I was actually thinking of swapping my Range Rover Evoque for one ( and Yes for a Daily Driver )... made a few enquiries with a couple of Dealers and they offered me such a stupidly low offer for my car I took it no further... but Rangey ( diesel ) will regularly do close to 40mpg.... so your vid came as a bit od a shock because I do big miles.... so think I might just stick with my old Bus for the time being... id daily drive the RS, but you also have bucket seats, those things are brutal daily driving. I'd most likely go with sofas.

The bottom center piece on the carbon seats is a problem.. doesn't matter if you are tall or short(I'm 5'11). I was going to spec my M2 with the carbon seats but after driving my friends M2 with the carbon seats at the track, when shifting gears the center piece does rub my leg slightly but is more apparent when you do any left foot braking it becomes very bothersome. The carbon seats looks very nice but it is better suited for the automatic M2.

Put playback speed in settings to 150%. You’ll thank me later. Not that the content tells you anymore than you already know

Good review, thanks 👍 I Had the same feeling (a better daily than my F87 CS) but it’s a different car. I was surprised by its size and on downhill especially you can really feel the extra weight. I liked the car BTW. It’s the BMW M I would buy in today’s BMW lineup but I won’t sell my CS for a G87. I have to say I daily a M135i F40 so I use my CS for weekend essentially 👍

I've got a 2020 M340i (that I've only owned for 6mths) but I am interested in the G87 M2..... though a MASSIVE deal breaker would be having to turn off the Lane Departure and Speed Warnings every time I get in the car.
