Thank you. Your video helped me to verify that popping the case off wasn’t going to cause an indecipherable disarray of gears and chains. Everything stays where it was supposed to be except a couple of thrust washers.

Thank you for the kind words. I’m thinking of sticking to motorcycles/ small engines and moving the sawmill and charcoal stuff to a different channel. I have so many unconnected interests that might be hurting my growth.

I'm no youtuber but I would think to agree. I've heard elsewhere that the algorithm has a hard time supporting channels that don't 'hyper-fixate' on one certain topic which is a real shame. But I hope it can pick up some of your videos for sure

In your opinion do you think rattle canning the frame is a bad idea?

No, there’s nothing wrong with using rattle cans. They just don’t seem to dry as hard and tend to mark up a bit easier.

Wasnt there another part on those carbs that the fuel line hooks to and a vacuum line that went to the number two carb that has something to do with the fuel . The gas tank ties into it and then it goes to the carb two. I didnt see it in your video. Yet its on my bike. Thats the information i was looking for. Because my vacuum is really high in the main carb . I was wonderind if it was because im not using the what looks like accelerator pump.. i was just letting it gravity feed. I needed to know if not using it is why im having trouble with the syncing or why its making popping sounds.

Great video - really demystifies the process. Two things: What do you think it could be if the transmission shifts properly to get the tines moving (F and R) but the wheels don't move and in fact seized with a far amount of play back and forth? Next thing: If I had a father-in-law like you I just might have stayed married 🤣🤣

I would look at the bushings, they are a common wear point. , Also, look to see if all the gearing is okay. You’ll have to open it up to see.

You just have to measure the mounting points on the engine and make it to fit. Then you can make one for any engine.

Thanks for taking the time to send the advice. I think I’m going to do exactly what you say. I’ll make a small sand pit and just sink the bottom of the barrel an inch or two of the into it, then pack it tight. I’ll delete the bottom all together. I guess I’ll save to put in a pipe to allow the gases to escape when it gets up to temperature. Do you think the brittleness is due to air getting in or too much temperature? I guess trial and error will answer that!
@plunger110
@plunger110 Ай бұрын
Your inner barrel isn't sealed tight enough, it's getting air inside during the cool down period and that's letting it continue to burn, causing to over cook. In my experience as soon as the off gassing is done I remove it from it's heat source. What you can do since your seal is at the bottom is to surround the bottom with a bunch of wet sand or dirt to seal off the air getting in. That will keep the charcoal from continuing to burn inside the barrel. Good luck, I do like your set up!
