You can use the clinch for sure in Thai Boxing, the style is very different so the body punching would be used much less in that sport.

Make sure you stay behind the shoulder with the jab to the body if anyone catches that its an easy step back to a check hook

It’s not necessary the height of the tall opponent, but the variables that the taller opponent adds just him having that 2 inch height advantage could give him 5 inch reach 🤷🏽
