I loved your video! It really reminded me of when I was learning backflips myself. I just subscribed! Maybe check my channel out for AWESOME backflip tutorials and parkour videos! I will be posting my very own backflip progression video on it in less than 24 hours, perhaps you could compare your form to mine to improve. Oh, also, you could definitely land your backflip on flat ground if you got more height. Currently you are limiting your height by entering a "chair" position before taking off. Your shoulders should actually be over your knees during your set. Also, instead of looking backwards straight away, if you could look straight in front of you until the last moment before your tuck(when you bring your knees to your chest, it is called the "tuck"), this would most certainly get you some extra height to give you plenty of time to get around. You seem to be having a bit of fear of going backwards as well, which is perfectly natural. To overcome the fear, you should try training in a safer environment, such as a foam pit, or on a trampoline (you might even have a trampoline park near you. One last point to improve on : use your arms more. When your feet leave the ground, your arms should be next to your ears, causing your shoulders to stretch. I truly hope this helps out, I wish you the best of luck! Can't wait to see you on my channel!
