I wouldn't use them even if they were free! Be careful with that "thorn" tooth design, I had a curved disk and almost every time I used it, it would kickback! Had it run up my hoodie a couple times, and kickback so hard I had to grind it off the grinder with my dremel!! I switched to kutzall and havent had a kickback since! I heard king Arthur is pretty good too.

what are you using for a dust mask? Does a person need to wear a respirator for carving?

is this cheaper than a sanding disc?
@KyleHallwoodworker2 күн бұрын
Really depends on the sanding discs you buy

I was very careful at all times, but last year I nearly lost two fingers after I had an accident with carving disk similar to these. Lots and lots of stitches saved both fortunately, but I now am unable to feel the fingertips of either I threw them both away soon after, and recommend just using your saw to carve anything these guys can do .. better control

Sorry to hear that . I to have hot hands and fingers with different carving bits . I’ll use these for sanding and detailing not major material removal

I just love using them. The curved ones r great for carving as the flat edge is only so wide. For ur signs the flat r perfect. The curved u can reach more spots u can create curves down into ur carving as well. ❤❤

Hey Kyle. Your quite talented. You have used battery saws and I wondered if you knew if I can put a 8” cannon dime bar on a ms 160t? Thanks in advance.

watched many videos of Basic Bear carving for Beginners.... This by FAR IS THE BEST.... I like you giving The Depth cut Instructions..( 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" ) etc... AND the advice of watching this a few times BEFORE you start cutting .. For me this gives me what to expect NEXT.. THANKS SO MUCH..

I kinda feel that’s my man in the moon!!😂 after all, I requested a wood spirit, and made you leave your comfort zone, and that’s what you created! You would have never made it! 😂It looks even better painted! It’s a masterpiece!! Again Kyle, that was an awesome show! Anyone who didn’t see it, I suggest GO see it!! Good stuff!

I accidentally found this technique many months ago. My ms250 and ms382 floods easily. My ms250 just need 2 pulls and my ms382 just needs 3 pulls.

On the back of the piston assembly is a stepper motor on most Pacifica's. Loosen the two bolts on the back.of the stepper motor and remove it. If you don't you won't be able to compress the piston!
