What tire pressure would you guys recommend?

I know my gravely HD 52 is identical mine has a 1/2 inch place for the one half inch socket to go into without removing that spring which can be quite dangerous. I just go under the machine put the one half inch ratchet on it and take the tension off and put slide the belt right on takes about 5 seconds.

I’m a little pissed I’m installing a new deck belt on my 52” zero turn with less than 15 hours on it. One of those stupid little belt fingers that they mentioned popped out of the little slot they’re supposed to sit in and destroyed my belt. IMO it’s a crappy design because they barely sit into that little slot. Otherwise so far I really like the mower. Just kind of depressing watching the neighbor lady cutting her grass with my old mower (cub) I gave her when I bought this one.🙄

My only gripe so far on this mower is the plastic bolted on belt protectors on the deck. Grass gets in there, and its tough to blow it all out.

The bar I have for the REFLEX action appears to have a slot it fits into, but my bar is loose and just hangs down. Anyone know how to get it to fit into the slot on the back of the plastic piece that moves up and down to move to my walking speed?

What size is the transaxle belt?

I'm satisfied with my Sno-Thro. It's a 10M4 made in 1965 with a 4hp Tecumseh on it and it still fires right up by the 2nd pull. Folks call it dangerous because it will continue on if you let go of it. I call that "ease of operation". She's built like a sherman tank and will probably still be throwing snow long after I'm gone.

Here's a possibly stupid question. Why don't they install the engine facing the other way so that the oil drain is at the back where you could install a permanent drain tube instead of having to keep up with that silly clear plastic hose? Here's another stupid question. Why is it that most Ariens owners on youtube can't pronounce "Ariens"? They all say "Aryans", like they've never heard the name before. I'm considering getting one of these soon. I have an ancient Ariens Sno-Thro made in 1965 that still fires right up by the 1st or 2nd pull.

Bought mine in August of 2023. I have almost 45 hours on it and it runs and cuts great. I love the Ikon even more when I am mowing. Thank you, Ariens, for a great mower.

I did this adjustment and the self propel only pulls it on cement. Why wont this move through my already cut grass... i paid for a self propel and got an over priced push mower.

Because you don't staff your 877 number over the weekends, I thought I would leave a comment here. If you only want to use your mower in the forward direction this mower is ok. But try to pull it backwards and surprise the back wheels lock up, so you have to drag it by force. They say to adjust the cable...after 20 attempts "good luck". If the adjustments need to be very precise, why don't you add an adjuster on the cable like the brakes on any 10 speed bicycle has had for 100 years. They also say to pull back on the handle while the mower is still moving forward....sure. Maybe I got a lemon, but maybe not, since you supply a separate" before returning the product to store" page about adjustment to the cable. So you continue to ship a faulty mower and make it my problem to try to fix it. Who would have ever thought mowing was more complicated the forward and reverse.

How much oil capacity is the model 91106? Ive read both of these shit manuals multiple times and cant find anything. I have been trying to do the dipstick check but the cap keeps sticking causing me to need to yank it off to where the stick hits the sides of the tube so i cant get a good reading. I bought this yesterday but considering how awful the manuals are I am ready to return it for a Honda mower where I know I am getting good quality.

To bad Ariens parts people have no idea what they are doing. I gave them the part number for a mulch kit from my owners manual and they say there is no such number. I was lucky enough to find one from someone who actually knew what he was talking about and I had it in three days and it has the correct part number like the owner manual listed.

Around needs to reengineer this in a way where it’s a quick clip assembly and disassembly so you can easily attach and remove the blower in a few minutes. There are times when I want to do a quick pickup in the lawn. This seriously needs to be reengineered. The tractor is awesome but this is too much of an overhead.

I just bought this today. Have spent at least 2 hours trying to make the self-propelled feature work correctly. Not good. This clown tells you absolutely nothing worthwhile. I have been trying that. No bueno. Why would they sell a mower that doesn't work correctly out of the box? Why? I almost changed my mind at the last moment today, and got the Troy-bilt. If this Ariens isn't working correctly by dark, I'll own the Troy tomorrow.

Why should I have to start playing mechanic and adjusting things right out of the box after using it once?
