I used to make these without directions because I was going to talk over them in class. I do voiceovers now when they are uploaded.

bad quality of the video makes it hard to see what you're doing. and i think it would be cool if you'd show at the end of the video some pottery made with these tehnics) even a photos would be great)

can you upload other videos for lay outing of materials?

Oh my gosh how does this not have more views?? That's incredible! I made an elephant from terracotta clay but I can't imagine sculpting one of those terracotta warriors! That is amazing.

What did you do when the slip is stuck, i am facing same problem, how to get that back normal?
@jessalyncanavan80994 жыл бұрын
I'll have a damp sponge near by the wipe the tip from time to time. Sometimes I have to soak in water for a bit with some water pressure. It can be frustrating. Slip trailing is not my go to for that reason and my students lose caps for bottles with tips for slip or underglaze.

Teaching? Pots? Making videos?

Why people make these videos and don't show you the end result is beyond me. Without seeing the finished product it all means nothing, cause you don't know if the final firing results were positive.

I make these videos for my students and use KZfaq as way to store them for student use in my classroom. Enjoy it or don't.

@@jessalyncanavan8099 Great, thank you. But it would be nice to see the final product to see if it is something I would like to copy. I'm just beginning with pottery. Thanks again.

@jessalyncanavan80996 жыл бұрын
Erick Yang I just looked up the kneeling archer and broke the forms into basic forms like boxes, spheres, and cylinders and went from there. I guess I don’t have exact proportions, sorry if that wasn’t helpful.

my ceramics class uses a light stoneware, so I had them add an iron oxide wash after the bisque fire to give it more of an old, red tone to the pieces, which also makes the textures I add later really pop.
