I’m calling BS on that being brand new. You can see wear on the brake rotors, and a few other clues. Nice looking trike though.

I am sorry gents but I have to call BS! You can just listen to the sounds of the bikes when shown and how the 500 is not being rode as hard as the 250 is. Also the rider on the 500 seemed to be sandbagging but that is just my opinion.

My brother sold his YZF 450 that he only rode twice for $2,000 it was mint and a 2010 it sat in his garage for years. I couldn’t believe him selling it cheap and not to me. But gone now. So there are some ignorant people like my bro that do sell cheap.

You can't tell by just looking when he's riding what year the bike is! The bike would work great for an amature rider to see if they want to take the racing game seriously!

I just dont get why not put it to max power output? You put in against the biggest 2 stroke you can get and left it in the equivalent of 450 mode... if you bumped it up that thing would absolutely smoke that 500.

"Look after it Shaun. But ride it like you stole it". That's a very contradictive statement to make. But even if you've got at least half a brain rattling around inside your noggin. You'll know and understand AND most of all, comply with the advice with which you've been given. Best you do that. Because those newly engineered and created Honda CR500 motocross bikes are definitely worth a pretty penny. 👍

Tires, wheels, chassis and suspension are the keys to handling of equal powered vehicles. Spokes change chassis feel. The reason I mention it is the test rider mentioned Maico. I built a lot of them for USA and Europe pros. The wheels and spokes material and cross patterns highly affected the riders. We settled on very particular spokes and patterns for that reason. This '97 is very susceptible to them as well. The 1997 CR250R required more of the tech / engineer to set it up for a given rider. I personally bought the first one my dealer received and set it up for pro level. It made you listen to rider data and adjust accordingly. We did find the geometry handling and stability was enhanced by installing a steering damper and a particular rear top out spring for a given track condition. We did fine tune valving and springs both ends to rider likings. I still have it.

Yeah you need 1000 cc to get the same results that we did with under 500,cc. But you are just using technology development that was pioneered many years before you and computer aided manufacturing!!!
